Good Morning John, Martine, and Dan! Some from the morning archives... I would take the little rain and dampness over the storm we are supposed to be getting tonight/today!

Hi, Annie,
By Dan A. Kassner (BonaireTalker - Post #100) on Saturday, February 22, 2003 - 11:46 am: |
he's losing a lot of air. Looks like an o-ring may have gone.
By Annette Bursey (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #3666) on Saturday, February 22, 2003 - 12:04 pm: |
I did think there was a lot of bubbles there, but me no diver. I assume an o-ring is used as a seel? Annie B.
By Dan A. Kassner (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #101) on Saturday, February 22, 2003 - 12:12 pm: |
You're right, Annie. An o-ring (small thoough it is) is a rather important piece. There are several, but the main one that looks like it blew here is the one that attaches the regulator to the tank. Gotta keep that one in good condition or you see what happens.
By Dan A. Kassner (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #102) on Saturday, February 22, 2003 - 12:13 pm: |
Try this again
By Dan A. Kassner (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #103) on Saturday, February 22, 2003 - 12:14 pm: |
And there he goes, off into the distance.
By Dan A. Kassner (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #104) on Saturday, February 22, 2003 - 12:19 pm: |
On enlarging the pic, however, Annie, it could be that he is allowing the air to "free-flow." It sort of looks as if he might be holding the secondary regulator (the one you stick in your mouth and breathe out of) out to the side. If you turn it so that the opening is pointed up or press the purge button, you can create a lot of air in a short time. He may have done that just to give us all a thrill.

Hey! I just noticed that I am now an "experience Bonaire Talker." Anybody for a glass of champagne?
By Martin de Weger (Extraordinary BonaireTalker - Post #2269) on Saturday, February 22, 2003 - 12:28 pm: |
Dan, I think his head is above the tank. My guess it's a blowing alternative.

Hi Cynde, Jill and others,
By Jill Ganderton (BonaireTalker - Post #86) on Saturday, February 22, 2003 - 4:45 pm: |
The storm has arrived! We've had about 2 hours of ice rain and now it's snowing hard. I have to laugh, because the weather channel is warning us about the storm, due to arrive at 7pm. It's only 3:30pm but I do believe if they looked out of the window they would see that it's here already! But, a scary thought, perhaps they consider this to be nothing and that the REAL snow comes around 7pm! HELP!!
