I've eaten there twice since August 2008. The place is good, especially on a quiet night. The mixed grill is still an impressive pile of meat; I found the flank steak a bit tough but the rest of the mix was excellent. We took the chicken pieces with us and we enjoyed them as lunch the next day.

Does anyone remember how much the mixed grill runs about?

Chris.. I had the mixed grill last week. Excellent. The only thing they're doing differently is no more blood sausage..Which is a good thing. Now we get double portion of chorizo sausage instead.

Now this is my idea of a must do dinner on Bonaire. I'm not big on fancy little dishes with exotic sauces and expensive wines. A big pile of grilled meat and a good beer is the ultimate for me, Hey... I am from Alabama.

Patagonia is another steak place in Bonaire Chris that you may want to try and compare it to Casablanca's mixed grill.

Chris, Patagonia is owned by the family that use to own Casabanca and started the whole "mixed grill" craze. A similiar menu but not exactly. if you like tapas, La Guernica is good, Warung Louise for Indonesian and a must is Bobby Jans barbeque, cheap, and good food. Only on weekends and mostly take away. Enjoy!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I may have to eat dinner twice each night while I'm in Bonaire so I don't miss out on any good meals

To my way of thinking, Casablanca is 'way too much meat, not well cut and not well cooked. Whereas Pantagonia benefits from much better service, waterfront tables, and way nicer meat and presentation.

Here is a link to their website. http://www.restaurantcasablanca.com/index.html Not sure that they post the prices though. We have eaten there a couple of times, but never did the Mixed Grill - sorry guys - but JUST TOO MUCH MEAT! We would have to eat there on our first night and would have enough food left for our entire 2 weeks.! What we have eaten there has been excellent but that was a year ago, things can change. Hope they haven't.

Kelly, Bobbejan's is very good! If you want to try some very good rib's try The Rib Factory in town. Located on the upstares of the shopping plaza. Franco, the owner will give you a rib experience that you will remember... Ron
