Our favorites were the Plaza, from beach go South. My husband did 1000 steps and loved it but the water was kind of rough for me that day and pretty far out for chicken little...You can't go wrong anywhere....it is so beautiful and the sea life is unbelievable....going back in Sept. and can't wait...Good luck and enjoy.

As much as I love Buddy, the snorkling there is not the best. However, there are tons of fish always hanging around the dock and if you have never done a night snorkle, it's a great place to give it a try. The hard corals seem to be better up north and the soft ones farther south.

My favorite snorkel site is in the Washington Park. It is on the map they give you when you go in. It is Wayaka I, II & III. I am not sure about the spelling, but it's something like that. The first one looks too shallow from the top of the steps but it is amazing after you get in the water it is deeper than it looks and the coral is in pristine condition because it has been protected by a jetty. Wayaka II has a nice little sandy beach. We started at Wayaka I and snorkeled all in and around (like following a maze)and got out at the second one. We went up the steps and walked back and got our car and drove down to the third site and explored there also. It was the best day of snorkeling the whole week!

I love snorkeling everywhere in Bonaire!!! Every place I have been has a different flavor but there is always some wonderful surprise there. Some of the places I have gone to are: Kline for a great drift snorkel on the Woodwind which I highly reccomend, Andrea I & II, Small Wall, Torries Reef, Ole Blue, Country Gardens, the South Pier,Bacadera, in front of Plaza, and in front of the Divi where there is a ton of fish life in the cement pier.

Last year we went on a night snorkle, we started at the dock at Buddy, went north towards Captain Don's. We had the usual encounter with Charlie and on the way back there was a free swimming green morey, had to be at least 50 feet long, (well, more like 6 feet, but, well, you know...)that was a totally awesome surprize.
