Can anyone tell me what kind of bird that is on the banner of the bonairetalk homepage http://www.oldbonairetalk.com/

It looks like a parrot to me, but I am not well versed. Anyone know specifically? thanks for any help.

It's a Prichiki, Scott, a member of the parrot family.

Scott - It is also known as the Yellow-shouldered Parrot (Amazona barbadensis). I haven't been to Bonaire since 1985, but recently read that this endangered parrot is significantly low in numbers. There are probably more in cages than in the wild.
