Update for Aug 1
-------------------------------------

Dear Friends,

While Loggerhead 'Extra' is still on the move and covered more than 60 km yesterday, the satellite data indicates she is traveling back and forth -- east to west and then west to east on the shallow water area off the coast of Honduras. I suspect that she is close to home, if not already there. The next few days will tell.

Male hawksbill 'Tom' remains near Klein Bonaire.

update for Aug 2

---------------------------------
Dear Friends,

Loggerhead 'Extra' continues to wander on the shelf of shallow water off Honnduras. Yesterday she traveled over 60 km, first heading almost due east and then doubling back to the southwest. Right now she is off Gorda Cay, a small island about 150 km off the Honduras' coast.

Male hawksbill 'Tom' remains near Klein Bonaire.

update for Aug 4:

Dear Friends,

It would appear that Loggerhead 'Extra' is back on her home feeding grounds. She continues to meander slowly and is spending little time at the surface. Her current position is over 1500 km from Bonaire and about 170 km off the coast of Honduras near Gorda Cay. Since 'Extra' is home, I will no longer being issuing tracking reports on her movements. Should she decide to start traveling again, I will alert you. With good fortune we will see her back at Bonaire in several years.

In the meantime, Male hawksbill 'Tom' remains near Klein Bonaire. An email received yesterday reported him being sighted by divers off Jerry's Reef on the east side of Klein. I'll let you know when 'Tom' starts his journey.

Cynde,

I did ask Robert before he left the island if any progress had been made on the shop opening, new bumper stickers. etc. He indicated that it was moving ahead but very, very slowly. If I learn more I will let you know.

Andy
