Once again I forgot to start a new thread timely. The update for Jan 4 is posted with last week's postings. Here's the update for Jan 5.
-----------------------------------------------
Dear Friends,

It appears that 'Schillie' has settled along the north coast of Mona or near Monito Island, some 650 km from Bonaire. This location is an excellent feeding ground, with abundant food and 'Schillie' shares the area with lots more turtles (my colleague Carlos Diez and I have tagged nearly one thousand individuals there in the last 12 years). Since we can expect little movement for 'Schillie' from now on, I will only send out further updates if there is news such as significant changes in her location.

Thanks to all for your ongoing interest in our tracking of these fascinating animals. That 'Schillie' may be staying at my very favorite Mona Island surely has is a fantastic start to 2004!

With best wishes,

Robert P van Dam

Andrew, thank you for taking us along on this amazing journey for the past 2 months! It's been truly fascinating. Happy to see that both turtles have made it to safe feeding areas. Please pass on my thanks to Robert.

Happy New Year!
