Bonaire Languages: Dutch greetings
Thank you Martin, I will download and play when I get home. I will make the whole family practice, St. Martin next weekend, dutch side of course. How about Thank You in dutch. By the way, my friend had a great time in Amsterdam (and Kenya of course) last week. My camera equipment made it home in one piece.
I'm moving this topic to Bonaire Languages...
Thanks for posting, Martin!
Sorry for posting in the incorrect group Jake.
Sorry voor het posten in de verkeerde groep Jake.
Cecil, Please tell me what words you want posted and I will post them here.
Cecil, laat me weten welke worden je gepost wil hebben en ik zal ze hier posten.
One name I particularly enjoy hearing in Dutch, as an example of the sharp contrast to English, is "Vincent van Gogh". In English, "Gogh" is pronounced like "go", as in "to go somewhere". In Dutch... (Martin? )
Here's Thank you in Dutch:
Cecil, Glad your friend liked Amsterdam (and Rotterdam I hope, because that's where I live and it's much nicer than Amsterdam. Grin)))
Jake, Tomorrow (for me) I'll post Vincent..
Jake, consider vincent posted....
could you please record a wave that could be sent as an email attachment that would say:
"get well soon" in papiamento or dutch?
thanks very much.
spera ku bo ta rekupera pronto! Papianentu
Here's a .wav saying beterschap (Get well soon)
