Not jellyfish - just lots of fishes - by their movement patterns on the video display here, I'd guess they were chromis.

Good morning everyone... yes, Diver 67 another long day to stare at the cameras. The people I work with during the day can't quite understand our fascination with the webcams. Of course, none of them are divers.

Why haven't we had any Divers in the past few days, Did anyone else notice this?

I've noticed we've had very little at all over the last few days. A couple fish sightings, but that's about it. I just figured I had missed them all. Now that you mention it, there have been few people at the front door as well.

Diver 67, we had some yesterday, they didn't hang around. We might have some right now, this could be bubbles (or PP).

"pp" is my guess

PP it is, sometimes you see what you want to see (to many examples to list). There was also alot of small fish activity which typically precedes divers. How about a sunrise in Tahiti.

I have a question outside of Bonaire. Has anyone done a dive in South Carolina. Or have any info about it. I am going to Hilton Head next month and I am wondering if I should take my gear with me

OKAY, Diver 67 - I wasn't going to get sucked into this animation thing, but yer drivin' me crazy. Where are you getting all those cool ocean animated graphics? I promise not to use too many of them if you'll tell me where :-) My students love them, and we can import them on other documents for class. Franks a rot!

Diver 67, I'd take the golf clubs instead. The diving is either sandy or wrecks. The water and fish are tropical, that'd be cool. You'll have to take a boat ride, an internet search should give some ideas of price and availability.

The animation I have been getting are from various diving web sites. They are gif files inputted into the web page just right click on them and put into the message board like this. Here is one for the kids

That appears to be it. There were actually three divers I could see but they barely stayed around long enough to get one captured.

Hazel you can take all my animation just right click on "save as picture" and put it oin your smiley folder or which ever folder you so desire.

This looks like it may be residual bubbles from them...on the bottom right, in the big pic it almost looked like a diver very close to the bottom...Cecil...I need your expert opinion!

As there is a boat on the nord com, you might be righy (although I'm no Cecil _ ;-)))

Wanna have lessons?? You know they DO speak dutch on the beautiful island of Bonaire????

There have been dive boats here regularly this week, and we've certainly seen divers cruising by the ReefCam during those times, but I think it's safe to saw that the 2-3 dive boats a day we've been seeing may be dropping to 1 or 2 boats a day, as Bonaire has entered low season for tourism (April 15 - December 14).

Jake, I have been trying to figure out...why is this the low tourism season?

Martin, I appreciate the offer but I have a hard time with English/American. I figure in my declining years (as in declining on a loudge chair), I'll take a shot at Papiamentu so I can curse correctly during dominos (do you know that Papiamentu is not in my American Heritage Dictionary, I had to got to InfoBonaire to get the correct spelling).

The tourism season in general for the Caribbean starts low season around mid-April until mid-December. Probably due to hurricane season and vacationing in northern climes while the weather is good there.

It's because vacationing in the Caribbean is most common during cold, blustry, and generally icky weather months in the north, as far as I know.

So Linda and Jake (you guys must be like Sherry/Barry), you're saying come during the summer for less crowds. No disco at the town pier on dive nights.

Thanks Jake. I thought maybe it was hurricane season or something like that (August on the Pacific coast in Baja Mexico is hurricane season...bad time to go diving there). Makes sense that the cold and snow would make ya wanna head south

Worse, Cecil. We sit about 8 feet from each other, but still communicate by e-mail quite a bit :-)

As far as the town pier underwater "disco", that still happens on select nights, even during the summer.

I don't think it's the moon, Cecil. The moon is just a tiny sliver right now. I could be wrong tho - it's happened before ya know! You are indeed the sunset king.(visualize some graphic here - your choice)
