I am having difficulty pulling up the web cams today. Is anyone else having trouble, or is it a local thing for me? The weather has hit Wyoming as well - winds bad enough to close school for the day. I have been trying to view a piece of paradise for about an hour and a half, and I am starting to go into withdrawal. If any of you have been able to capture any pics, please, please post them. I would even settle for "new beaches" Cecil!

Actually, at present, no one can reach the Bonaire WebCams web site - the company we host the Web server at in Massachusetts screwed up a router, coincidentally the router which provides access to the WebCams site. It's being worked on by Dan Senie, the WebCams' co-parent who has other servers also affect by this problem at this facility. Very aggravating for all of us. Arg.

I feel your pain, Hazel. I need my Web Cams, now I am whining.

Jake, if you need me to drive down to the Web Server building and slap somebody around let me know. I can throw a rock into Massachusetts from my office.

Anyway to achieve some level of satisfaction here are some pictures that did not get posted.

Trumpet Fish from a couple of days ago and a boat wake from yesterday.

Jake - thanks for your message. It's comforting to know that I didn't screw something up on my end. I did the next best thing to watching the web cams - I pulled up some archives. Ellen's green flash series was neat, and the iguana talk was interesting.

We had a green iguana in our classroom. She was a full 49 inches long, and was all muscle. Although she did not have visible teeth, she had an extremely hard palette, and could give a nasty bite by virtue of her powerful jaws. Thankfully, she was not agressive, but would almost complete a backflip whenever we offered her pumpkin or squash blossoms from our garden. My son is looking forward to seeing "wild" iguanas when we visit Bonaire in March.

I am going to attempt to send a picture of our iguana - no guarantees, however. Thanks again!

Yep - it's all back. Appears that some network changes at US Data Centers (the company where our Bonaire WebCams server system resides) in Marlborough, Massachusetts didn't quite work as anticipated, leaving us in the lurch with several of our servers. They backed out all the changes they made yesterday morning, and things are back to normal again. Hopefuly this won't be an issue ever again.
