I did a baker's dozen or so - really loud - half hoping for an answer. I got one response - a mourning dove in our spruces!! Hoooooooooooot! I cracked up - we're all hungry for spring!

I did not go out to Hoodie Hoo, would not have gone over well in our parking lot at work. SO I hope you all did it so loud to make up for me, cause I AM READY FOR SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it's 76 here, so it would've been hard to explain why I was chasing winter away with Hoodie-Hoo's. It's ok Chris, I said one for you.

Chris, when I was a kid I ALWAYS wanted to swim in the Dead Sea or Great Salt Lake - I thought it would be wonderful to just FLOAT - look ma, no hands. Someone recently told me that they are both GROSS. I'm SO disappointed.

He's single, a real nice guy and comes with a recommendation from me (only as a friend, you understand!!!) He's on Bonaire until 2/27 and is planning to do his OW course (did the Resort Course last week, and decided he likes it!!)

Thanks for your HOOODIE HOOs, I took a walk a lunch today around my neighborhood pond and I saw about a dozen Robins! Certainly a good sign that spring is coming. Just hope that we get some rain soon, we were supposed to get some today, but so far nothing.



Wish I could spend a week on Bonaire, that would improve my attitude until spring really does arrive!

I had the opportunity to float in the Dead Sea two years ago, and I certainly wouldn't characterize it as gross. It was actually great fun floating atop the water, with only a bit of the backside submerged. Granted you don't want to get any water in you eyes or in any boo-boos, thus splashing around isn't recommended, and you really need a shower when you get out, but I'm glad we made that sidetrip. I walked in, and at one point my feet no longer touched the bottom, but I was still above the water from just below my chest! Nothing neutral about THAT buoyancy. Spent much time giggling.

I also had the opportunity to talk to a man who had done some commercial diving in the Dead Sea, cleaning the residue off the bottoms of some of the boats and barges that ply those waters - he had to invest heavily in weights to just stay submerged, and could barely carry (on land) the amount needed to succesfully dive the Dead Sea.

But now back to Bonaire...

Anita - Maybe my source isn't into saltwater like the rest of us. They said that it felt slimy and burned your skin. I'm glad you went and did it - I'm putting it back on my list of things I want to do someday... It sounds like a LOT of fun!
