Kay welcome back!!! Rusty, Scuba Barbie in a can of tuna!?? Yuck! What a thought! Ha! :-) I would rather believe that Scuba Barbie has taken up residency with a handsome octopus near the reef cam (8 arms to keep her hugged close)

Good morning all,

Some winter, a few degrees below zero C. and promise of rain this afternoon!! NOT a normal winter here in SW Ontario.

Missed all of yesterday's activities trying to build a mission impossible spreadsheet and back at it today with yet another "idea". The guy with the "ideas" doesn't know spreadsheets!!

It's like translating from English to Russian with a Chinese translator!!

I'd rather be breaking a sweat in Bonaire.

Have a great day all,

Bill

Hi Richard! :) It's close to 50! For mid-Feb in Massachusetts - that's amazing. I'm not even sure there ARE any drive-ins around here anymore. Used to get a kick out of going when we were little. A 1963 red Volkswagen beetle - one of us kids would fall asleep in the "boot" behind the back seat.

Rusty, as far as I know there's still one in Milford, NH and Weirs Beach, NH. I saw Saving Private Ryan at the Weirs Beach one a couple of years ago. Great animation by the way.

Very funny Rusty, and yes I do have a middle name but face it people would think I was weird if I used it. My name actually changed last night as I was demonstrating to my lovely wife (“Snorkelgal”) how she could add her name after her handle, since it’s a little friendlier.

It’s 56 degrees in Northern Virginia and my bulbs have all decided that winter’s over and many have poked their heads out and some have grown a couple inches. I’m afraid their in for a rude awakening later this weekend as we are expecting temps in the 20s again.

Afternoon everyone. it's supposed to hit 80 here tomorrow. Winter, what's winter? Rusty, does this mean I don't have to yell Hoody Doo tomorrow?

we still have a drive-in here, but I haven't been in years. They keep it open by using it as a flea market on weekends.

Time to grab a bale of straw and protect those early birds. The peat I put down today was for the same reason - the crowns on the perennials are showing fresh green! With no snow I wanted to cushion the shock when winter gets here - if it gets here - this year! Also offers a bit of protection from doggie feet.

Speaking of profiles - I turned off my email address for a while - now I can't figure out how to turn it back on.

Awesome snapper shot!! Aren't they lovely fish?

Go to user profile/preferences and uncheck "Do not display my e-mail address with my profile or on my post". That should do it.

Yes I need to get my honey to grab some protection for my flowers, with a possibility of freezing rain they’re going to need some help!

Holly,

That’s not too far from me. Fairfax is about 16 miles west from Washington D.C. Harrisonburg is about 100 miles southwest of me. Its VERY dry here, I think the driest winter I can remember. We have rain in the forecast tomorrow and Friday so we may get a little help.

Rusty, this is central FL, zone 9. We seldom get freezes after january. Might drop to the mid 30's yet, but all our stuff will survive that. :) Jim planted maters 2 weeks ago and the peppers went in this past weekend. Beans are already up. I'll be in harvest mode before you know it.

Snork, how're you holding up?

Thanks for asking Cindy. I had a pretty tough weekend and actually spent Saturday in the ER. Having some complications that I’m not sure about yet and just got another MRI and I’m off to see the doctor on Thursday. (Sigh…) I’m getting kind of tired of this.

At least I took a walk around the block today and enjoyed the fresh air. Things could always be worse.
