We are back from Bonaire, a day late thanks to Air Jam (we spent Sat. Night in Montego Bay. But we are home now.
You'll ask for the chicken and so you got it.
Here is how it happened. First a big thank you to Jake and Linda. We had a blast
The Chicken made strange sounds in the gear bag on the plane

I've been leaving a trail of pecans all over the island.

Two pecan pies and spiced pecan party nuts for a party on Valentine's Day. The Antilleans and Dutch didn't know about pecan pie. Can you imagine that? They loved it. No leftovers!

Little pecan meringues for Turduckon night. I didn't brave the praline recipe.

More pecans to go.
Linda

PS: Grendel wants to know when LeeAnn is visiting again.

Steve -- We are also beneficiaries of your now legendary pecans, thanks to Linda and Jake's generous contributions to our Valentine's Day party buffet. The pecan pies were gone in a flash. The locals and dutch folks will now be as frustrated as we are at not finding pecans in the local stores. We are still enjoying some of the spiced nuts they left with us. We shared them with Rich & Ginny of Phoenix (other Bonaire Talkers and Turkduken Party attendees, seen in Jake's photo of a turkduken buffet on another thread) over sunset cocktails on the terrace last evening. We had a nice dive at Red Slave with them and with Kevin Mac & Claire. Many, many people in Bonaire have had a chance to enjoy your gift... thanks to you both, and to Linda & Jake.

I hate that Air Jam left us stuck in Jamica. Would rather have stayed the extra night in Bonaire and gone to Sat.s Party.
Guess I need to start a new job, CARIB Pecan distrubitor :)
Tell Grendel our Danes keep going through the dirty clothes wanting to know where we are hiding the big girl dog. And if LeeAnn has her way, she will see her again later this summer.
Can't say thanks enough and we had a blast.
We will work on the trip report, with 27 dives it might take a couple of days

the day of the chicken dive we got back to the hotel and the phone was ringing. I picked it up, and was greeted by a voice from the US clucking. Guess even a non-diver can get a good laugh.

Always glad to make someone laugh or smile.

It will be tough to top the chicken, but LeeAnn is already working on it. :)
