jake, is anything wrong with the Temp gauge on the u/w cam...last night it said 32F and no C showing.

Must have been real cold last night ;-)

What you saw is a symptom of the occasional time when our temperature probe becomes recalcitrant and refuses to give us a reading of any kind (a "0" - zero). Seems to only happen at night.

When I was in Bonaire in 1997 they had a system in place for divers to pay a fee to dive in the park. We received a round plastic tag that went on our BC to show we were allowed to dive. Is this still in place? I don't mind paying at all, but I was curious about the tag. I still have mine and I love having it on my BC.

Yes, the Bonaire Nation Marine Park tags are still a required "entrance fee" to diving on Bonaire. They cost $10 and are arranged as part of your orientation. They last one calendar year (January to December).

Memberships have to be done on-line with a credit card, or via mail/FAX to the U.S. office of Caribbean WebCams. Giving me money on Bonaire for a membership is, alas, not a solution. See you Saturday!

John - the really sad thing about you posting a pic from two days ago is that I recognized it! I mean, it's a half a diver and some bubbles and it looked FAMILIAR! LOL

Avoid the "Uglybuttfishes" Gary or you get really scared!!

14 days and +/- 23 hours... pffff so long!

Rusty - Barter system is alive and well on Bonaire, but for Bonaire WebCams, I don't actually own Caribbean WebCams, so any money intended for that company needs to go to the company directly.

I will be taking cash for BonaireTalk t-shirts as soon as they will be ready however :-)

Hey, the last 'buttfish' wasn't ugly, kind of small, round, and pale though. Maybe we should start calling Marc B. 'fancy nopants'.

I'm down to 27 days until I head way further left.

I'll enroll in the PADI butt id course when I arrive tomorrow evening. Will keep you posted as to the identification process!!

I think PADI offers that specialty course, correct? :-)
