Have we ever had the world famous Scuba Barbie on cam? According to a couple sites I glanced at - she's an internet legend! She can't be a legend until she's been on the Bonaire Reef Cam. You know, like Marc!

Barbara - good to have you back in the swim! We got ice ice ice but not very many cancellations since BOSTON at the other end of the state missed most of it and corporate headquarters are never sympathetic to the westerners out here.

Barbara, Since we are very near the water, most of the real nasty weather bypasses us, The water temps keep the land temps up I guess. Everything but the hurricanes that is!! Up island they seem to get the ice storms and more snow than we do. Weird just 10 miles away and its a whole different forecast...

Freddie, Thank you for the chicken soup! I'll wait to have it tomorrow, though...not ready for food yet. I grew up near Milwaukee, and the weather folks always said "Cooler/Warmer near the lake" depending upon the season. Must be the same for you since you are near the water. Neat GIF!

Ah, for the beaches of Bonaire. Meanwhile up north we just finished celebrating our annual Drowned Hog Day here in Hull. As long as all participants go under, Spring is just around the corner. Air temp 28F with a steady 30mph wind. Not bad compared to two years ago when they had to use a front end loader to clear a path for the swimmers to get through the ice on the beach. Raised a lot of money for the local food pantry though. (No I didn't go in--but my daughter did.)

Marc, thank you! You know I went on a glass bottom boat in the Keys and HAD to learn to dive after seeng what I was missing out on underwater. The reefs were really nice there and the fish were swimming in thick schools and we saw turtles and I couldn't wait to get fins and tanks and jump in!
