Niki, nice to have you back

Niki - I had one of those "heel of the hand to the side of my forehead" moments when you illustrated the mirror. I was initially wondering if it was a filter or lens for the cam/case. Then it was SO obvious. Next question is WHY?

By Freddie Hughes on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 - 8:25 pm: |
Hi Lea, Call me ignorant but please tell me more about The Boston Blue Man Group...I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering...at least I hope I'm not the only one :-)
|
By Carole Baker on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 - 9:13 pm: |
I love the Blue Man Group/Band! First saw them on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno many, many years ago and could not find any of their work in the record shops (I am showing my age, again!). I would imagine it is much easier to find today as they have grown tremendously in popularity over the years. I believe they are "parked" in Las Vegas for a long stint, now, aren't they?? Lea, you are pulling our legs, right? One can never tell on this board! Carole

By Carole Baker on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 - 9:15 pm: |
Oh, by the way....he looks verrrry "fuzzy" in the picture! Appears to have spines or zippers surrounding his torso....hmmmmm....What gives? Carole
|
By Freddie Hughes on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 - 9:34 pm: |
Carole, I agree with you it does look a bit fuzzy, however...someone would have to be VERY good to transpose this picture along with the guys shadow!! And thank you for clarifying(sic) just who the Blue Man Group is. I even found a web site for them. and get this they have an online store!! can't wait to receive the mug I ordered!!!
|
By Carole Baker on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 - 10:18 pm: |
I see they have lots of music available now...have to get out there and pick some up...definitely unique, they are! Yeh, I saw the shadow, too, and thought...hmmmmm, tough to fake this shot, but the zipper/porcupine look has me baffled. Doesn't take much! They've come a long way, baby!

Folks,

Carole, and Megan & Eric, and folks. I happen to remember the discussion of this topic from more than a year ago. The large captures are blurry when the subjects are moving too fast. The small captures grab one frame of time (I forget, was it a thirtieth of a second?) The large captures are blends of two quick captures and combined, odd and even pixels. Like two successive thirtieths of a second cross-hatched together. I wonder if fast-moving Blue Man walked back and forth for two minutes, or was a lucky Blue Man.

The Blue Man Group has performances in many U.S. cities (simultaneously - means there's lots of Sub-groups). Saw them in NYC some time ago - excellent!
