Good morning, Barbara and Rusty! And happy New Year to all! It'll be hard to stay focused today, when it seems everybody else stayed home this morning, but I'll check in from time to time as my reward for accomplishing all those end-of-the-year tasks.
Didn't want to miss the opportunity to wish everyone Felis Anja Nobo!

Good AM back at you!

I'll be safe...well, maybe :)
because I am studying XP (eXtremely Pitiful...eXPerience must be Bill's idea of a joke). The cams are my contact with reality. Need 'em, want 'em, gotta have 'em to override the XP blues! :(

No snow here (we get ice instead) and the temp is 12...an excellent day to remain indoors!

Good morning Barbara, Rusty, Leigh Ann, Denise FREDDIE, & Holly! Left Coast checking in! Hey Rusty, today's the last day to post & vote for pix of the year, right? You've been officially elected the supreme vote counter!

Just another day of golden beaches, calm beautiful water & a dive boat...may your New Year bring you a scene like this from the other side of the cams!

My treat this afternoon will be playing with the sftware I downloaded! Wheeeeeeeeeee!

Bon Noche all, and Happy New Year. I've been wicked busy since before Christmas, I miss my time time on the boards. I've been reading the post from the last two weeks, great stuff all, Andy's, Sarah's and Dave's trip reports are the best. I was going to post an account of my Myrtle Beach diving but have not had the time (one word summary, ROUGH).

and what has been keeping me busy, you ask? That sticking, no good, needs to die (plus a bunch of X-words) USB connection for my new Sony DSC-P5. I don't know who to kill, Sony (who gave me the drivers that started this mess), IBM (who made my computer) or Bill Gates (who made the OS). One of them needs to die. I have been working this issue since Friday with no resolution in sight, that counts the 24 hrs with no computer when I deleted the wrong file. The only lesson I've learned is if you are on your computer and a crazed person shows up with a gun and says "delete VMM32.VXD or I'm going to shoot you", let him shoot you will be better off.

Rusty, as far as the Best-of-2000, most of my collection is on my computer at work and I wouldn't get there till Wednesday. Some nominations (that come to mind) are the squid squadron, the hidden baracuda, the Eagle Ray and the hidden Hawksbill Turtle. For the divers, the ever elusive Jake fish w/ pony bottle, the plastic fish that showed up one night. North Cam any of the great sunsets, there was one with a sailboat.

Denise...After chatting with Rusty, I downloaded the 30-day trial version of Paint Shop Pro 7 on my Wintel laptop. I have & use MS Image Composer on my 5 year old (80 MB of mem) laptop.
Had to get a (used) Wintel machine 3 years ago for school because of Visual Basic, Access pgmmg, MS Certs, Novell & CISCO.
I have Photoshop 4.0 on my 6 year old Mac Performa (75MHz & 48 MB of mem). Not that I'm I Mac addict or anything, but my 75MHz Mac Performa runs circles around my laptop: an Acer 166MMX. I'd much rather use my Mac to get online, but I can't seem to locate an inexpensive LC slot E'net card for my Mac. Poor me :) :)

Cecil,
What OS are you dealing with? We had no problems at all with ours (granted, it's a P1, not P5) - worked like a champ from the start, first with W2K, then with XP.

Weird.

Cecil - howdy! Not bad for off the top of your head... we can wait for you! Some of those pix are before my time - LOL - and I'd love to see them - particularly the turtle!

It's officially 2002 in Australia/Japan/parts of Russia/Hong Kong and NZ... Thailand's turn is coming in a half-hour. You can watch the cams of 2002 - as if Bonaire isn't enough for all of us - with this handy cam guide to the New Year! (Just open another browser window!)

Susan, Windows ME. The drivers on the machine are not working, so I been looking far and wide for some different drivers. The problem is the USB hub driver, the universal driver seems to be working.

The Times Square cams ought to be busy tonite.

Hope Jake and Linda get out on the beach with some fireworks tonite after sundowner! (Flashlights and Bic lighters?, maybe?)
