Holly, I think your French Angel capture is the best that has ever been posted since the web cam started!!! Great job!!

Excellent French Angel indeed!!! I suspect that will be the January 2002 pick of the month on InfoBonaire :-) (Oh Linda....)

BTW, the people with the big sign apparently were unaware that local rules prohibit there being more than one "Jake" on the island at any time. So congratulations to John (or whomever these people meant by "Jake" - I know it wasn't me, unless they misspelled "certifiable") :)

Jake

wow..wow..wow...geez...rusty you're right. i am slaving away with painting (more on the dogs at this point as they won't behave...can't tell what is flocking and what is paint!) and look what i miss...love the angel holly...and the creativeness of the sign...that wasn't easy...poor marc though...

Jake (the original, the one, the only) -

Didn't happen to think they might be referring to a different Jake; first thing I thought of was your BAR exam you took in San Juan a short time ago. Do you have the results yet? And, btw....I'm still trying to figure out how you attended law school while living in BON - a long, long commute, maybe?

Steve

Steve,

I did actually pass the Patent Bar (hurray!) - found out a couple of weeks ago. And, no I didn't go to law school here. The Patent Bar is the only Bar that non-lawyer types can take. Passing it means that I'm now eligible to become a Registered Patent Agent, and can therefore (once formally registered) represent inventors before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in the prosecution (application and finalizing) of patents.

Thanks for remembering!

Jake

Congratulations! That sounds like interesting, though tedious, work. I've spent several hours on the U.S Patent & Trademark Office website, and found it to be quite fascinating. Is this something you can use from Bonaire, e.g. via the internet?

Steve

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Jake Richter - NetTech on Saturday, December 29, 2001 - 3:44 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

Thanks. Some of it can be done electronically, and the rest by mail. Certainly doable from Bonaire (that's the key, right? :-) ).

Thanks, gang [blush]

Not sure if the Jelly Babies will make it until Easter. I'll have to fall back on jelly beans (Jelly Bellies) instead. Such is life :-)

Jake
