The last thread looked like it was getting a bit long. This afternoon starts with a bird...

I'm not sure, but the guy behind the shrubbery may be Santa.

Here's a nice start to the sunset pics. There's actually a partial solar eclipse going on right now (don't know how full it is in Bonaire), but it doesn't look like it's gotten there judging by the views from the cams.

Us left coasters were supposed to get a 1/4 eclipse a little after noon PST, but our liquid sunshine got in the way.

We had our end of year package delivery, courtesy of Rocargo as well as personal shopping at Sam's Club, WalMart, NetGrocer, etc. Also included were donations of computers, water gear, and dog collars for Support Bonaire (http://www.supportbonaire.org or see http://www.oldbonairetalk.com/sbi - hint, hint :-) )

Jake, I just posted another box: slightly used children's videos (maybe 20 of them). I know they will not get to BON now for Xmas but I am sure you can distribute them to the orphanage or any schools. Glad the doggie collars arrived! Woof woof

Now is the time for the winds to blow..MOTHER NATURE, let the Xmas trades begin!

Pretty impressive surf rolling in on 12-14-01...must be part of the partial lunar eclipse that occurred yesterday. Carole

It's very loud too, and strong - we've lost about 5 feet of our sand patch on the otherwise rocky beach due to rubble deposits from these waves. I can only hope that they are taking down those new "boat" houses on the shore at Angel City discussed elsewhere here recently, but I think the surge may be coming from the wrong direction...
