Thanks for the cuppa, Martine! Sorry you have to work this weekend and won't be here to enjoy a few cups with us, tho.

Happy Boxing Day to all of you who celebrate Boxing Day.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Holiday and Hannukah, also. Carole

Wally, where is AA putting you up? If you are out in the Isla Verde area or near the airport, there are $.25 buses that will take you into Old San Juan. Once in Old San Juan, you can take the free trolleys (parada's) out to El Morro and all around the Old San Juan area. There are two different routes, the Central which stays in the main part of Old San Juan, and the Norte which goes out to El Morro and that area. There are lots of museums to visit and lots of little hole in the wall restaurants to eat at. Mojitos (Mofitos) on Recinte near Tanca is very good. Make yourselves some lemonade from the lemons AA handed you.

Good luck

Wally, I'll shoot an email to Jake...maybe he can post the information you need.

Stuck in SJ for 3 days...What exactly happened to the AE flights? I would not be happy regardless of what there is to see in SJ...3 days of your vacation taken away on Bonaire would not make me a happy camper! I can understand 1, but 3? Did they run out of planes that work??? Poor Wally and Eva...

Cynde Loo Hoo,

AE is not flying to Bonaire every day of the week any more. My February 2004 trip had to be rescheduled because of this.

This past February, 7 out of my group of 15 were denied boarding in SJ. AE did fly them to Aruba that night then on to Bonaire the next morning.

Good Luck Wally and Eva!!!

The American Eagle flight schedule change hasn't happened yet.

Wally & Eva - leave me a message via my U.S. voice mail at 703-783-8378 with where you're staying if the info below doesn't help you. Or call direct at 011-599-7-176773.

You can also reach BonExel here on Bonaire at 011-599-7-173471 or 7-170707, in Aruba at 011-297-583-8030, or in Curacao (there is a nightly flight from SJU to CUR too) at 011-599-9-888-6644.

Good luck to you and Eva - see you soon - I hope!

Jake

Poor Wally and Eva, I feel so sad for them. I wish they could reach Bonaire via Aruba or Curacao today. Makes me remember when we used to fly ALM or DCA from Caracas. Nearly the same problem each time...

Oh my goodness. I didn't get time to check in here today, and I am now so worried for Wally and Eva. I am wondering whether they would be able to claim for compensation from the airline. I am hoping that they can make it to Bonaire without losing too much of their holiday time. Hugs to you both. Annie B.

Martine. Thanks for the sunsets. I couldn't get here today as we had our friends round for Boxing Day celebrations. It was far more enjoyable than yesterday. I made a buffet so that everyone could eat when they wanted to. So much more relaxed than at set dinner. Only New Year's Eve to contend with now. Annie B.

Hi guys,
I'm back and had the Bonaire Depression Blues big time. I'm hooked. Saw ourselves on this strand a couple of times once by Karen and then a few more down there we are again. My sign didn't show up.

We really enjoyed Bonaire going back next Christmas!!! 344 days and counting or something like that. Anyway, I will post my pictures and stuff soon.

I've also been really bummed about the two divers who died. It was a sad reminder to the local girl who died in a car crash--we came upon it shortly after a night dive on the town pier two tragedies in paradise. Didn't mean to bum everyone else out, but it's just got me down as I just learned about the divers a few minutes ago.

Anyway, glad you got our pics up, it was our way of saying Hi to ya all--by the way the note said Bon Bini--and wish you were here. I know that now, I wish I were.

Grace
