Mary, Hawaii was great! Found some snorkeling spots that were new to me with fantastic numbers of fishes (hope at least some of my underwater pics come out) Made my own coffee! Figured those early caffeine addicts would have had it all but would love a cup of LaDonna's iced coffee-yum! Not many waves today... big ones at Hanauma Bay last week which made it not as good to snorkel as usual...so I was lucky to have a book with directions to new spots!

Speeding by....stop and smell the coral!

Going to post a couple of Hawaii pics on cc! Have to shrink them all to fit so it's taking a while!

at least the sail boat came by for a visit. No one else will!

finally...Hi, Chubby! Come closer!

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone. Finally managed to struggle myself out of bed (Retirement is soooo nice! It's 9:30 a.m. here in cloudy Juneau.)

As I reported earlier, my nephew got married on Saturday in a picnic shelter at Sandy Beach. Beautiful ceremony. Lots and lots and lots of good food, including fresh salmon, halibut, and king crab. (Eat your hearts out!)

Highlight of the day? Other than the ceremony itself, of course. Playing croquet from 9:00 to 10:30 p.m. in very soft sand. We did smooth out the sand some, but it made for a very long game. But also a lot of great fun.

When I get the pics developed, I'll post a few--sorry no digital camera here.

Lots of excitement today on the cams, I see.

Hi, Dan, congratulations on the retirement...have 5 years to go myself. The blue strip is sand in the channel between the reefs (dark areas) as can be seen in pics of the webcam that various divers have taken!

Thanks, I was pretty sure that it was sand, but wanted confirmation.

Thanks, Barbara. Hang in there. I'm sure you've heard this before, but it is true--five years goes by fast, especially in retrospect.

I think this is the most activity I have seen all day!
