I am thinking that I really dont need a car on my next trip, so does anyone know if I can rent a moped or bicycle on the island?

sure you can, downtown kralendijk the store "de freewieler" is renting out bicycles, mopeds and scooters you can rent from Rent-o-fun or from the Harley store. am sure the place where you will be staying will assist you with good advice about.
