I was there last year with a large group and some of them rented ATV'S(four wheeler) from a company at the airport. Does anyone know who that company is and if they still rent them? If not, who does? About how much it cost to rent one for a day? Thanks for your help!

p.s. I am not looking to go ride and tear up anything but saw others riding in town last year and was curious if it is okay to ride on the streets.

Rento-Fun Drive on Kaya Grande have the vehicles in question.

It is only permissible to be taken out as a group with a tour guide, they will not allow people to rent the quads individually.

You can contact Minnie or Orlando using this link: www.rentofunbonaire.com

Thank you for your info, I will try and contact them about this. I was not aware that they were with tour guide only but that sounds like it would be fun anyway. Thanks for your help!

No problem.

I know that they get pretty busy during cruise ship season so it is advisable to book ahead.

Good luck!

There is one agency that does rent quads to cruise ship passengers and as near as I can tell they don't use a guide but in speaking with the Marine Park management, they are working to put a stop to them renting w/o a guide to ensure that they dont rip up our island!

Michael.

I hope if that is the case it is stopped.

I don't mind anyone having fun, I've ridden bikes etc all of my life, but...........People tend to throw away their consideration and sense when they are on vacation.

I lost count of the amount of people that I had to pick up with gravel rash after a spill on a scooter or trike.

Some didn't even make it out of the gate!

As I stated earlier in my post I was not looking to rent one to rip up the island but thought it would be just as easy to get around town on one of those instead of a car. I didn't know at the time that they were for guided tours so to answer your question, no your opinion doesn't matter.

Cheez Whiz, T Hammett, Kristi was making a joke.

As Al Gore said to George W, there's no reason to get snippy....

On topic, it is a shame that folks can't be trusted on these things...they would be fun to tootle around on....

I apologize if I come across as being "snippy". I didn't mean for it to be that way. I will just rent a car and that will solve this problem. Thanks

Thanks CB...I was gone for the last post and didn't realize I upset him...

T. Hammett, unless it was locals, from what I saw, the ATV's were being used for "around town" and had no guides.

I do not have any info on where to rent them though, sorry.

Have fun!!
