I have always used the Amex Premium Car Rental Insurance when staying at and renting a truck from Buddy Dive. I have noticed that the Amex Premium Car Rental Insurance policy on their website says that the primary business of the company renting the car must be car rentals. I am now wondering whether if my truck is rented from Buddy Dive Resort and I need to file a claim if it will be denied since Buddy Dive Resort's primary business is not car rentals. Has anyone filed a claim in a situation like this? Any thoughts?

Call Amex and ask them directly. Ron

And ask Buddy Dive their relation to the entity renting the truck.

For those who are interested, the answer from American Express is NO. The fine print of the Amex Premium Car Rental Insurance states that the primary business of the company renting the car must be car rentals, and since the truck is being rented from Buddy Dive Resort (whose primary business is NOT car rentals), the coverage does NOT apply. Something to keep in mind for those people not renting from a car rental agency.
