There have been lots of posts and news about the airport construction and confusion of rental vehicle pickups/dropoffs? I've heard the airport construction is done, or nearly done??

Can some one give an update on the airport renovations?

Where are all the vehicle rental places located now, and are they permanent?

It is definitely a bit confusing. Even for the people who were there the whole time.


Okay, this is the case.

On the airport, in the same place where the old booths were, are now only AVIS, Budget, Everts and Hertz. Renting a car there goes practically the same as is was before the renovation, except for the ticket you get to get out of the parking lot which exits to the other way.

AB, Island Car Rental, Top Drive and Total are on the Plaza premises. They usually pick you up at the airport with a shuttle bus.
This location is still not permanent but it will stay like this for a while more I'm afraid.

Parking at the airport is not for free anymore. You can choose from:
1. Short term Parking, which is right in front of the airport building where the old parking lot was en which costs US$ 2.00 per hour and the first 15 minutes are for free.
2. Long Term Parking, which is way in the back farther still then the car rental parking lot and the entrance is were the cargo entrance was/is. The costs are a little less.
