Need to book a rental truck. Anyone have any problems with booking over the internet using CC#? (Any information security problems I should know about?)

If you are worried about on line security, you could fax the info in stead.

Be careful with faxes - unless both parties have encrypted faxing capabilities - otherwise consider a fax open!

Same with emails. Unless you have an encrypted email solution (and few people do) emails are as easy to read as your morning paper to the right people.

Don't send CC info over email!

You can also spread out your CC# over 3 or 4 e-mails.
Most Car Rentals or Hotels use a secure site for their online reservations. This means that the online reservation form runs through a professional company (usually a bank or so).

Poppy at Telerin doesn't take your credit card # until you arrive on the island and she meets you at the airport. I had a very good experience renting a truck from her this past week and will definitely go back to her for any future trips.
