Triggerfish, The roads on Bonaire are in good shape(out of town). You won't have any problems at all with a scooter...

Hi Triggerfish and welcome to BT! You should be fine with a moped/scooter. Make sure you have a lock and chain for it wherever you park it. Won't do if you want to go through the National Park, but you could rent a truck for day if you want to go there. Have a great time. Being solo, it's a great way to get around!

Yes, you can ride a bicycle through the park, but I would not recommend that. Way to much work to get from A to B. You can rent a truck for a little more than the price of a bicycle. Just my 2 cents. I would hate to get lots of flat tires too way out there with all that cacti.

It takes 4 hours by truck in the park! I would guess it would take you 6 to 8 hours by bike and it will take you 2 hours to get to the park and they close at 5pm. Just not enough time in one day. Pop for a truck and have a good time. Bring lots of water...
