Is there a seatbelt law in Bonaire like in most States?

Nope and you can ride bed of the pickup, if you desire. Do a little truck surfing. Not recommended, by the way.

What about child safety seats? Are they required? I see that they are available for rent from the rental car agencies, but are they required? We've been to Bonaire a couple times before, but now we've got a toddler coming with us, too.

Seatbelts and child safety seats are required if you want a safe vacation that you come home from. There isn't a law enforcing that on Bonaire.

Kevin, thanks. I was hoping someone who lived on Bon could help. Pauline, I agree, even though they are not required, I've seen a couple of bad accidents on Bonaire, and well, I hope they had their seatbelts on.
