My family is coming to Bonaire in November. There is 5 of us (3 adults + 2 small children).
It seems like our rental options are a Suzuki Cary Van with Hertz or a Toyota 9 passenger van with National.
Being that I'm not familiar with the names of these vans, can anyone recommend which will be roomier?
Also, what insurance is necessary to purchase with car rentals on the island. In the US, I never take additional rental insurance as my auto insurance covers me. Not so sure about Bonaire.
Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Todd! Check with your car insurance company and your credit card company to see what type of coverage you have and then proceed from there.

Why have you ruled out the 4-door pick ups? We got 6 adults and gear into one for a week of diving a few years ago. Since then, we always rent the trucks. It just seems a bit much to go with the 9 passenger van when you have 3 adults and 2 small children.

I just took a look at expedia. I did not see any trucks offered. How do you go about renting a 4 door truck?
Thanks

If AB Carrental's banner is still on this page, just click on that to go to their website. Otherwise go to www.infobonaire.com and select Car Rentals from the pane on the left. :-)

Sorry...I can't type...that should have been www.infobonaire.com

The Suzuki Carry is pretty small, probably will tote the people, but doubtful re:luggage. So possibly 2 trips airport/lodging.
