Bev,

I have used the online booking with AB a couple of times, once back in June and again a couple of weeks ago when setting up a reservation for late February. It seems to work smoothly and they send you a confirmation email. I would recommend it. Good luck.

Steve

AB Carrental did get back to me and there rates are very good. I did cancel my other reservations with Avis due to the differance in rates and I talked to people that have used AB and have been very happy with them.

Did you get the insurance?

If you have an American Express Blue card with the "truck" rental program option, you don't need to purchase the insurance from AB. This is a much cheaper option as the insurance from AB is expensive. I'm assuming you are renting a truck.

I purchased the CDW and the extra also. I don't want any hassles. I rented 2 trucks as there is 11 of us going.
Can't wait 19 more days then we are in Curacao for a week then jump over to Bonaire for a week.

as Marcus says, you are better off using the Amex card...the CDW is very expensive and if you read the fine print, you'll find it doesn't cover much unless you have a total disaster....buying CDW does not eliminate the hassles...particularly the way all the rental agencies nit pick the condition of the car. The best way to eliminate hassles is to go over the car with a magnifying glass and note scuffs, scratches etc... I assure you THEY will note them when you check in and charge you for them

Thanks, I will bring my magnifying glass with me, or a camera if there are already dents.

Does AB Carrental accept AMEX? I want to make sure we're insured.
