Any suggestions about exploring the caves on our own? Where?

I'm glad you posted this, going back in june my wife and i decided to try to find them ourselves 2 yrs ago, figured around spelunk lt hs might be a possibility due to the name, drove several miles through the bush along an escarpment that had several large areas created by ancient seas, but neither of us thought these were the ones taken to by the guides, our drive finally ended on the main road to rincon, really interesting drive buy really bumpy, hope someone answers with good directions would like to go there too

thanks for the info ron, guess i'll stick to diving, reading,rumpunch,relaxing and eating, tried windsurfing but busted my you know what, we did enjoy our ride on the back roads hunting the caves though

Ahhh no kidding .... those indian inscriptions etal were THEIR graffity of their time! Had those pre-columbians had any supervision and cave rules such as those listed on the link then there would be no petroglypths to see! What's more amazing is that 1000's of years from now explorers/vacationers may marvel at things "this" generation leave behind.
