World peace? I don't carry any ID when diving, when driving otherwise I try to remember my license. If I ever remembered, I'd copy my drivers lic. and leave the copy in the glove box for diving. I don't ever bring the rental agreement along. Others might have different experiences. I've not been stopped.

I don't carry any documents with me while driving in Bonaire...Bonaire is pretty laid back...you rarely see police anywhere...if I saw one, I'd probably stop and take his picture...rumor has it that the police will begin stepping up their patrols...however, I'm not sure what that means in bonaire...remember, there are no traffic lites and most ignore the speed limits

Hmmm. I don't know about that. I think it's a good idea to carry your license. if you're involved in a serious accident you could have a really nasty experience. I have been going to Bonaire for 25 years with no problems, but you ARE in a foreign country.

to each his own...however, I think you may be a little melodramatic... this is Bonaire, not Turkey
