Her new restaurant is called Bravo and is across from Dew Point or just down the road from Telbo. She is serving lunch and dinner and has a full page of vegetarian items as well.

best tomato soup along with salads and a full menu with prices that are quite reasonable. There is a bit of something for everyone. Lucille has been at Sorobon for 4 years after closing Le Wok.

{thank you Sue via Deb..}

There used to be a kids playground there. It is just just past Telbo on the right. Lucille also was the former owner of Bistro Des Amis, the only Micelin four fork restaurant on Bonaire for us old timers from 20 plus years ago.

Wow
Bistro Des Ami! In those days we hardly ever left the Divi, but we went twice in one week to Bistro. Seems like it must have been about 1982 or 83. Is that possible?

OMG...I remember Bistro Des Ami! I would eat there and at a snack shop somewhere near where Pachi's is....I think it was actually someones house that served food at night and on weekends. Bravo will be a must for me when we return this year!!

I'll never forget the aquarium tank at Den Laman!
I did question exactly where the fish came from. ;)

I remember Lucille from the Pampas Grill.

When I used to write the Snack Bar Detectives, we did a review on her eatery that had only just opened. (Link: http://bonairereporter.com/news/006PDFs/08-25-06.pdf ) I remember her being a feisty lady who was quick to point out that she wasn't running a snack bar!

We ordered Spare Ribs and a Balchi Carni & I remember that the food was good & Lucille was a great lady.

Good luck to her.

Yes, I loved Bistro des Amis. It was where Lost Penguin ended up, although Lost Penguin blew out the wall so it was all open to the street (or was it the previous owners that did that?). I also remember Super Corner, Gibby's Corner, Beefeater, and the others already mentioned. Hotel Rochaline was a go-to place back in the mid 80s, too. I also recall eating at a place called Papagayo, but I don't remember where it was.

I loved Chez Lucille....great food and a wonderful atmosphere. I guess they tore that building down? Too bad.

Does anybody remember the Lost Penguin's previous incarnation, The Dome? We liked that place, although between the sports on TV, the beer and the adorable waitresses, I had trouble dragging Eric away from it.

Another place for Lucille...another reason for me to drag my sorry self back to Bonaire...
