Hey BTers,

Nine of us are going to Bonaire in two weeks and are arriving on the early morning Continental flight.
Question, where is a good place for breakfast? Can be anywhere, after breakfast we have orientation at 9:30 at Bonaire Dive and Adventure. We have been to Bonaire several times but normally don't go out for breakfast.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

City Cafe in downtown area by waterfront is nice.

Most resorts also have a breakfast buffet you can enjoy for a fee as well.

There is a place called The Sense across from the Plaza resort that serves breakfast too.

That just a few off the top of my head.

Enjoy your trip!

Right on the property of Sand Dollar, adjacent BDA is Sunrise which serves breakfast. It is a pretty good spread for a reasonable price.

Eddy's next to the Sand Dollar has a breakfast buffet. I think it costs $13.00. They open at 7:30.

I was kind of thinking Sunset. We have ate lunch there quite a bit. Great Cheeseburgers there. Wasn't sure if they did breakfast or not.
Eddy's, is that the little bar next to the pool and and tennis courts?

thanks for all your help,

Paul

City Cafe gets my vote!

They have good simple breakfast foods at a reasonable price!

Sunset doesn't do breakfasts. Even though we've stayed at Sand Dollar for about 40 nights in the past three years, we've only eaten breakfast at Sunrise once. People highly recommend City Cafe - I would try that instead.

Enjoy your time on Bonaire!

Cindy

Funny thing we went to city cafe last year, food okay but the wait staff acted like my husband was there alone completely ignored me. Did not appreciate this at all but let it go as we have had many incidents in the past just as bad if not worse being an interracial couple!! just my 2 cents will not go back!!

Eddys has my vote, they are the nicest couple. Oh so friendly and always a smile.

Sue, sorry you had a bad experience, I doubt being an interracial couple had anything to do with the service you described as it is not that uncommon. We have always rec'd good service and enjoyed City Cafe and yes, hubby and I are clearly not the same ethnicity.:-)

Sue, I am aghast at your comment. Bonaire is a racially diverse country in so many regards, Latin, Asian, Black, Caucasian..I am sorry you feel the way you do but I honestly have to say, I think you are mistaken. Chalk it up to a crummy waitress.

:-)
