Do the grocery stores sell beer or is there a local distributer that you buy cases from on Bonaire?
We always like to stock the frig.

Yes the grocery stores sell beer by the case, there is no beer shortage on Bonaire.

There is also a distributor - when you get to the traffic circle (just east of town) turn inland and look for a warehouse about 1/2 mile on the left.

Cultamara has had Polar beer in 12 ounce cans for about 15US$ a case for quite a while. Buy lots, it goes quick!

I'm here now and yes all grocery stores sell beer. We did notice Cultimari (sp) seemed to be about $1 cheaper per case. After going there first, I went yesterday to the "Warehouse". Warehouse is hands down a better store, better selection, fresh produce, larger meat selection (Although the cheese selection wasn't as great).

I am not a beer drinker but had to buy my house builders beer when the roof went on. I found Progresso had the best prices.

We have been hearing such great things about Bonaire and are seriously thinking of our next trip to be there in the middle of Nov (10 to 13 days). What we are needing are prices (out the door) for hotels, food, drinks. How close are the stores, is ice readily available, what the weather is like at that time. We enjoy the all inclusive and this would be a new challenge. We are avid snorklers and hear this is the PERFECT place! Thank you for any input and/or advice Kerry and Dan

I love Nov. Kerry. The island gets a little rain (nothing to dampen your spirits), wind returns, prices for tourists still low season at properties that have multi season rates (most do not in Bonaire as we are a year round dive destination). Everything is easy to get to. It's a very user friendly island.

:-)

Check out the bonaire partners web site and www.infobonaire.com You can get comparisons on rooms for $75 a night on up. The prices posted are for the room, not per person. It really is awesome.

Jim we are avid coors light drinkers too. We did not find it inexpensive at the local stores or in the bars -so we went with Amstel Bright- not a bad beer- Next trip maybe Polar- I have got to find the warehouse.
