Will any BT's be at Gibi's on January 24th. I would like to take my boyfriend and go, but I would also like to see who else is going. It would be nice to put faces to screennames. And to know what sort of things he usually serves. Should we bring some wine to share or does he serve wine or any sort of drink? And what are his general price ranges, are american dollars ok?

Wish we were gonna be there, but I can fill you in a bit on your other questions. Gibi usually has a bunch of choices on any given night -- from the more local/exotic (like goat stew or conch stew) to more familiar (fried chicken, fresh fish, steak, shrimp) all served with plenty of family-style rice, fries, funchi (sort of like polenta), salad, etc. He definitely serves beer and soft drinks, not sure about wine. Price is usually divided up by the group and is in the $15-20 per person range including everything. US dollars are okay, but as far as I remember it's cash only. It's a lot of fun meeting other folks and sharing stories, and Gibi puts out a fine spread of food. Do NOT hesitate going there on Tuesdays...you'll be glad you did.
