Ok, so no one has been to the airport in a week.
Bonaire must be slow?
No one eating?
I know, everyone is at the donkey park counting fly's.

I asked the name on Saturday, but I've already forgotten. Sorry.
They serve burgers, stews, and so forth. The menu is a bit longer than it was before. Nothing fancy, but much improved ambience.
I've had coffee there twice now, but still haven't tried the food. Something about the holidays getting in the way.

I talked to Moreno (owner) a two days ago, he said he still hasn't named it. Then we agreed it didn't really matter, because it's the only restaurant at the airport, so everybody'd call it 'the restaurant at the airport, a/o airport restaurant' anyway. However, this was late in the day (night), and we were at a bar...so, who knows?

Ruth...lol, you're probably right. they'd say, yes, XYZ, the restaurant at the airport...still chuckling...guess naming a restaurant is harder than naming a baby:-)

That's why I liked the name "Mango's"--the same in all 4 languages here (close enuf anyway). Glad Gwenyth Paltrow didn't steal it & stuck with "Apple." I simply paid for my other restaurant's name...
;-)

I checked the menu at the airport restaurant. It says Tecnobar. But I hear that is the name of the company which owns it. It still has no name. I suggested running a contest. And of course if they do, I expect somebody from BT to win.

Since it is the Flamingo Airport..should be something to do with Flamingos. "Pinkies", Flamingo's Nest...or "Birds Eye View" :-)

Okay, David. Sorry for the delay. The airport restaurant is open daily from 6 a.m. until 9:30 pm EXCEPT on Saturdays, when it opens at 5 a.m. because of the Continental flight.

Thanks, Tish. It looks as if incoming American Eagle passengers could grab a bite there before heading off to lodgings. (After picking up rental vehicles, of course.)

David

Yes, David. They seem to have set their schedule to mesh with airline schedules.
Sorry, Cynde, but I've only had coffee there while waiting for planes to bring my family and friends.
Remember, because I live here, I'm not eating most meals out like visitors do.
If I ever eat there, I'll tell you what I think. :-)

We did not realize it was a 'new' restaurant! Arrived there at the ungodly hour of ~ 5 am ... it opened at 6 am. We did not expect to 'eat' anything; however, our AE flight was delayed so Aubrey had "ham 'n cheese' on a bun, while I had the 'smoked salmon'. Both were fresh and delicious!! The person serving was very pleasant :o).

Oh, Cheryl, thanks so much for giving Cynde the "review" she craved. :-)
