Hello all --

Just thought I'd share what I packed on my Bonaire trip a couple of weeks ago. I pretty much used everything I brought, with the exception of the wetsuit deodorizer (gear locker aired things out well) and playing cards. Surprisingly, I was very glad I brought the mosquito net and Sting-Eze, as well as the Dutch phrasebook. Next time I plan to bring a travel alarm clock, and to purchase heavier bottles of stuff, such as bugspray and sunblock, on the island.

Hope this helps anyone trying to make up a list of their own. I know previously shared lists have helped me. :-)

Snowfire!
I thought I was the only person who packed a flat rubber drain plug.

I also pack those 'over the door hooks' to make more closet space.

Great job, Laura. You could have almost borrowed that from Wally's spreadsheet for vacation. It is the holy grail of all packing lists.

Do you have a trip report yet or did I miss it?

I got mine prior to my last trip at Barnes and Noble. It is VERY handy for trips to the grocery stores.

Anyone who is really organised can go to the following website:

www.dontforgetyourtoothbrush.com

They have ready made checklists for all types of holidays, simply fill in the list and print it off.

Snowflake, you bring makeup? You are a much better woman than I, lol.
I brought it once, never put it on, never brought it again.

Mare -- Indeed, flat rubber drain plugs are invaluable gadgets for travel. They're lightweight, super cheap, and have 101 uses. That, and they make a really good tongue-twister. Try saying it ten times in a row: "Flat rubber drain plugs, flat rubber drain plugs..."

Vince, Gerry, Grasshopper -- Actually, I'm super UN-organized. Ask my husband. Lists are my way of sorting the unfettered chaos in my mind.

Kelly -- No trip report yet. It's taking too long to write it! I'm thinking of doing it in monthly installments. *sigh*

Kathy -- I bought it on a whim at Barnes and Noble. "Dutch Phrasebook & Dictionary" by Berlitz. (ISBN 2-8315-7199-5) It has an excellent grocery shopping section, and the Dutch on Bonaire found it, ah, amusing.

La Reina -- De nada :-)

Liza -- I only wore makeup a couple of evenings, while out on the town. The rest of the time my naked face was paraded before the Bonairean populace in pale, shiny, eyelash-less glory.

I always make a list too.
I put a piece of paper with the most important things writen down on it on my diningtable a month before leaving and when I think of something I can write it down.
I never forgot anything before.
Said that I will probably forget something this year.:P

Just figured out a way to view Wally's list (don't have Excel or Word on my laptop). Super! Wish I'd seen it before my trip. Heh.
