I keep hearing about Gibi's on Tuesdays. What's the scoop?

Scoop: a wonderful dinner hosted at Gibi's home for the BT community. It is held on Tuesdays around 6:30. Everyone is welcome, and he does make you feel very welcome. It is preferable that you phone ahead to let him know how many will be attending...someone else needs to jump in because I cannot find the phone number. But, I do have the map:

LOL! The phone number is on the map!!! What a riot! Remember to bring cash, no credit cards accepted, at least not when we were there. The food is wonderful!!!! OK...I'm rambling. Bye and enjoy!

Gibi has had the flu, but he is feeling better, so he is open again.
Anybody who wishes to eat at Gibi's should phone before coming.
He usually is closed on Wednesdays, but if a group of people are eager to come there then, he will consider opening for them.
He serves lunch and dinner.
On Monday nights he serves a buffet at the Golden Reef Inn.
On Tuesday nights, he does the BT dinners.
And yes, Jeanine--cash only.
Gibi is a lovely man, and the food is good and inexpensive and the company fun.
See you there!

Corey, I think what I'm saying is more like jibi, as in a jib. He is much too sweet to correct me if I'm wrong.
You're gonna love Bonaire!!

Hi everyone,
On the pronunciation, is it:
G - B
jib - eye
or something all together different?
Also when I call for the reservation, when is the best time to call (after I get there on Sat)and I am presuming this is his home? So, I am not looking for a business? As for cash, take local currency or is American OK?
Cory,
I am new to the boards and although I am with my dive club I am planning to attend Tuesday. This my 1st trip there too!
I am arriving on the island THIS Saturday and can't wait to meet some of the people I have been reading about for several months!

It is his home, Mike, and he goes to sleep pretty early, so don't phone after 9. He has a small sign outside his house.
I think he prefers Nafl. (Netherlands Antilles guilders), but I believe I have seen some Americans pay in dollars. He does not accept credit cards.
Fab photo, Freddie!!

How much does the buffet cost at Golden Reef Inn?
Hear Gibi makes a fab goat stew. Does he usually make that every week?
