Since I have my tag already from January does that mean I get to be in the water before you Chet? See you Sat in SJ!

Susan,
I was trying to forget how jealous I was about you getting to go twice within a couple of months! Ahh! but we get to stay 3 weeks! Got the cheese in the 'frige and suitcases 90% packed; spread-out on the living room floor. In the water first? Well, we'll probably be toooo tired to jump-in Saturday night, but I may jump-in for a morning snorkel before orientation early Sunday morning! And wading in the sea at SJ doesn't count! We get our long layover on the way home, little less than 2 hours on the way down.

Are we anxious? Got the cheese today, suitcases also 90 per cent packed -- just the wetsuits to go before we head to the airport on Friday night. The distance to the airport somewhat dictates getting there the night before but since I hardly sleep I often wonder why we just don't stay home for a sleepless night! The cheese was a hard one since we have so many "grades" of cheddar: mild, medium, sharp, extra sharp, "hunters" (super sharp. Guess you will just have to wait for the taste test!

I'm FREEZING!

John and I will be the ones wearing teavas and polartec socks. Can't take to many shoes as luggage space is at a premium. I am short and will have glasses on a chain around my neck. Sorry, no flowers as the garden is a little frozen at the moment. See you at at the airport.

Arriving in Bonaire the evening of Tuesday, March 16th. What time do people congregate at Gibi's? And when would be too late to try to meet up? Flight gets to Bonaire at 6:20, so we'll still have to get luggage, car, etc. Should we try to stop by?

Ashley, Gibi's meeting time is 6:30. If it is a large group they will be there for the evening. If it is a small group, I am not sure, but it is worth stopping by and saying hi and meeting folks even if you decide not to do dinner.

Hi,
Who is handling this page, could you please put me on the list? I'll be staying in Hamlet from March 17 to March 24 and will be looking for a buddy. Unfortunately, Gibi's (what's that and where's that by the way?) Tuesday would be good for me only to say goodbye :-( and I'm now concerned to find somebody whom I'll be able to say this to :-)
Mike

Mikhail, Chet Wood handles Feb/March talkers, I handle the other 10 months:-) You may want to look at the spreadsheet and either privately email someone that will be on island the same time you will to see if they are interested in hooking up, be patient for someone to respond, or, when you get on island, let the dive op know you are looking for a buddy to dive with, they may be able to recommend someone.

Good luck, and enjoy your vacation!

Mikhail, Welcome to the board. I'll respond to the second question (Gibi's).

Gibi's is a small local food restaurant, where most of the BT-ers on island gather every tuesday night. If you do a search on Gibi, you will find a lot of information, including how to get there and when to meet. I always enjoy these evenings a lot.

Enjoy your trip!
