I have been in contact with Marlene at the Maria Hoppner House. She has graciously provided me with an updated list of clothing/shoe sizes for their current residents and I wanted to share this with those who are interested. They presently have 10 boys at the home but are expecting an additional boy to join them next month.

Below are ages and sizes:

1. 16 year old, size pants 32, t-shirt 16, shoe 12
2. 14 year old, size pants 32, t-shirt 16, shoe 9
3. 14 year old, size pants 32, t-shirt 16, shoe 7 ½
4. 13 year old, size pants 16, t-shirt 14 or medium, shoe 8
5. 13 year old, size pants 32, t-shirt 16, shoe 9
6. 12 year old, size pants 16, t-shirt 14, shoe 6 ½
7. 11 year old, size pants 32, t-shirt 16, shoe 6 ½
8. 9 year old, size pants 10,t-shirt 12, shoe 7
9. 8 year old, size pants 12, t-shirt 12, shoe 7
10. 8 year old, size pants 8, t-shirt 10, shoe 3

Their additional needs include the following
- map of the U.S.A.
- School bags
- puzzles
- belts
- pajamas
- swim shorts
- glue
- markers
- first-aid kit supply's
- pencil sharpener

I will be on island, this month, and am bringing them a new first aid kit, various sizes of new leather belts, a new digital camera, a new electric pencil sharpener and other things specific to the needs of the young man that my husband and I sponsor. I must say that Hetty, Marlene, Meredith and the entire staff at Maria Hoppner House do a wonderful job with these boys. Their needs are constant and I promised I would share with BT and it's great members! Anything that we can do will be SO greatly appreciated

Kobi

Kobi, thank you for sharing this list. Could you tell me more about the Maria Hoppner House and what they do? Is it hard to find, to stop by and make a donation?

April,

This link ~> http://www.mariahoppnerfoundation.com/ is to their their website. It's a wonderful home that reaches out to help young boys on the island of Bonaire. It is very similar to what we would call foster care here in the states.
We have been blessed to able to help them the past few years. The ladies that work there are wonderful :-) All of the boys have sponsors but it's always good to have others who are willing to help if the need is there.

I will PM you more information and directions. Thank you for asking about the organization :-)
