Hey Roy - If you are on the bay after 22nd, come and introduce yourself. We sail yellow/black Naish Redlines with iSonics (76/86/96) mostly from Jibe City corner so ask for Trevor and Carole and Sam and Nic....

Argghhhh Trevor, you just made my PBD rush back!!!

I do so wish I could be there, alas I will be at the viewing end of the WebCams, not due back on Bon until end of May next year! :( :)

In that case we will have a thrape for you.... A thrape is a term for thrashing the nuts off of something (for sailing maxed out but just within ones capability such that the classic ear-to-ear grin can be seen on a satellite image). Lac Bay is for thraping....... Other sexual definitions are not intended LMAO

Yup. Indeedy - Cruising, Blasting, Stonking, Thraping....

Thraping is the ultimate blast with less rooster tail out the back. The weight is further fowards keeping the nose down and the tail lifts and releases cleanly. Then you know you are about to go over the handlebars - but not quite........

Don't ever believe a forecast. currently averging 13 knots. Not exactly what I'd call BIG.

1st pic - orange board black edged sail with chrome yellow trim raked right back (very) travelling left to right almost dead centre = #1 son on a 6.5 and the carrot (more later)
2nd pic - same same travelling right to left top right
Last pic - left to right
96 iSonic (scarey scarey)
Mistral 78 SLE - a 5 kg carbon Pro Funboard from 2000, 105 litres and 278cm based on the Screamer for course racing. Bought on e-Bay for £25 ! Nicknamed the Flying Carrot.
Mistral Score v98 - another eBay £50 job for a friend of the boys....
It's 6:00 am and daylight trying is push the darkness from the bay and the wind is strong but not howling. Feels like a 6 m2 for me at 90kg. The others can fend for themselves today LMFAO !

Tide is low. Hmmm a 32cm skeg is needed. Digs in garage. Finds something suitable to do battle with.

Hope your day is 1/100th as good 'cos then it will still be amazing. Bonaire is still special. And KLM are still a bunch of ...........

Still the wind blows. It dropped a bit for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon - 2:30 - 4:30 but came back and blow the chairs around our villa all night. Dawn saw two sails already out but we are slower this morning due to rum and various other concoctions.

Off to the beach......

Carole flew on a 5.3 and a 95 litre HiFly Move this morning. Sam braved a 6.0 triple camber Naish Redline and the Carrot. Me ? I waited for water. The tide was low and with my "speed bump" I need more water if I'm not planing. I have been over the handlebars too many times and I hate it !

Lunch now - Amstel Bright and BBQ Chicken and a sleep before the afternoon session......

I think I saw the 'Carrot' on the Jibe City Cam, not too sure though thru the salt crusty schmutz ;)

Wind dropped yesterday afternoon. The webcam company is coming (Tues) to fix the wind meter and clean the cam. Went out on my 8.2 Naish Redline and got planing in nothing :-)))))))))

ProKids registration starts tomorrow so the competition should kill the wind hehehehe (same everywhere in the world eh ?)

Managed 24.8 knots on the new Naish 125 Slalom with the 6.5 Redline. Smooth............

well I hope they also pop next door to Windsurfplace as that webcam has froze up too!

LOL it took a 9m sail from Jibe City for me to get planing on the 165l last year

When is the ProKids competition?

forecast is not lookin' great...

http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=56&switchlang=1

but then those 30/40kg kids only need a force 3 to be blasting.

I'll have another look thru my captures, I'm sure I got some better ones of GBR700 :):)
