jellybean Ms. Jellybean - you've completed our trip around the world in twenty-four hours! We wake up here in the eastern USA and hear from our UK friends who are already planning supper, and then the sleepyheads in CA who are just rolling out of bed at our 10:00 coffee break, and you - I can't ever figure out whether you're ahead of us or way behind! LOL

globe

hearts Bubbles - we'll be sending lots and lots of love and good luck to Aquaman starting right now! We have our fingers and toes crossed (and are holding thumbs, as they say in South Africa) that this surgery Monday is the mother of all surgeries and that he'll be A-OK on the other side of it.

cynde mom Have a safe trip, buddy, and enjoy your visit with Momz. Sounds like your frames are going to be an extra special gift for her.

cross When I was down at Freddie's I was admiring a coral reef cross stitch picture on the wall and George told me that he'd stitched it and made the frame from an old lobster pot.

That extra touch makes all the difference!

Oh, you ask for it!

Who makes the coffee at your house?

Did you know it's a sin for a woman to make coffee?

Yup, it's in the Bible!

It says.............

"HEBREWS!"

Waah! Okay, you're right. I did ask for it. Can't wait for tomorrow. (Chili today, hot tamale?)

sun

Time to head out and sit in the backyard with the dogs for a while. Sun's out at the moment - don't know how long it will last.

I love hot food, the hotter the better. flame
I usually make my own hot sauce, although I do give a 4* rating to "3 Dogs Inferno" & "A** Kicker". I bottle some killer juice from a mix of Habanero, Thai and Chineese fire peppers, garlic, salt, sugar and olive oil. The Chineese peppers look a lot like Christmas peppers, yellow 3/4" long and grow facing upwards. (One in a 12 qt pot of chili usually will bring a sweat to most persons brow.)
Here are a couple hints when using hot peppers:
1: If it uses a oil base it will be hotter and last longer.
2: The Capsaicin disolves in alchohol. So if you have a bad case of pepper burning, a mouth full of Vodka or rub the effected area with rubbing alchohol.
When growing peppers:
1: They like to be watered
2: If stressed they get hotter.
So if you want hot peppers, water them well until they get close to the size you want them and then let the plants get really dry for a couple days. After that always let them dry out after watering.
Less hot peppers, just keep them watered.

Hey, while I'm being Mr Gardener Stewart, a little hint for people that like Onions. You know how hard it is to get the smell off your hands. So if you have onion scent on your hands rub a STAINLESS steel spoon over them while in a sink, or stream of cold water. Silly how it works!!

Okay all you would-be BT Cruisers to Alaska. At the risk of you saying that you no longer need to come to Alaska because you've seen it all, I'm going to post this site in hopes that it titilates you:

http://www.princess.com/ipix/ships/coral_bridge_cam.html

Punch that in, and you will be instantly transported to the bridge cam on board the Coral Princess. Currently, it is on its way to Vancouver, BC ultimately following the route that you will take. The cam view is updated every 60 seconds, so over the next couple of weeks you will get a virtual cruise to Alaska.

The ship is scheduled to arrive in Vancouver tomorrow and be on its way up the inside passage Sunday. Its route will include Vancouver, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Seward, and then return.

For instant gratification, check out

http://www.princess.com/ipix/ships/sun_cam.html

which is the webcam on board the Sun Princess currently bound for Ketchikan, according to the cam. However, according to the schedule, its not even supposed to be on its way yet. So who knows.

Have a great day all; I've got to get some work done!

Dan, I am taking some of the information I have gathered on the cruise to share with my mom:-)

On a very very sad note, there is a toxic bloom algae in southern california, it has killed 5 dolphins and 13 california sea lions so far, and this is just the beginning. last october, we came across 2 dead sea lions floating near snorkel sites...just makes me sick.

fingers Even the oceans aren't big enough to escape pollutants and biological scourges. Let's hope that the currents will carry away/dilute the toxic algae before any more losses are sustained.

I still bumming about that one Cynde. I managed to get in a dive this morning, cold stuff. Here's the trip report, Click Here.

Bob you've got to use the creative argument, ie. how do you expect people to be creative if they do not have distractions to let their left side work. Jeeze who trained these managers, they should be encouraging you to surf not discouraging. What hosers.
