It's been a long time since I started a thread over here! Rusty and Freddie looked like they had a lot of fun! I love the photos! I hope everyone else is doing well.

Today is ANZAC Day in Aust. and N. Zealand. ANZAC is an acronym for Australia/New Zealand Army Corps. ANZAC Day is national day in Australia and New Zealand. Originally it honored those who fought in Gallipoli during World War I. Today it honors all soldiers who have died in war. ANZAC Day is held on April 25th.

Blimey, nobody else here today yet Eileen. I wasn't here yesterday as I was feeling rotten all day. Rusty isn't here either as she has a bad cold and is feeling rather under the weather too. Ain't we a right pair.

It's...

Tuna Sandwich Day

Is tuna fish about to replace peanut butter and jelly as everyone's favorite sandwich filling? It looks like the answer is "yes"! Canned tuna has been around for 100 years and is a staple in 85% of American kitchens. A rich source of protein, it's also low-fat and has lots of other nutrients. But, for sandwich lovers, versatility is the key. Starting with a base of tuna and mayonnaise, you can go on a sandwich adventure. Almost anything can be blended with tuna. Experiment! tuna

No action on the cams as yet either. Sure is a quiet day here.

This is the only one so far.

Your not alone, Annie. The chick does seem to be getting bigger and more active. I still wonder about the last egg, guess we'll see in a few days.

on wed. we had a snow storm, wet sloppy snow. roads were very bad, school buses in the ditch along with many other cars.. nobody hurt. no school yesterday, i needed the 4wheel drive to make it into work.

our power went out from 4pm wed until 7pm last night. but we have wood burning stove to keep us warm. we were comfortable and just fine.

however, here in denver the weather wasnt bad at all- east of town we really got hit.. needed the moisture and the grass is greening up nicely as the snow melts.

hope everyone has a nice weekend, ours is supposed to be lovely.. that is one nice thing about spring snow storms.. they vanish quickly!!!

Hi, Annie!! Long time;no see. I've been sick/busy/entertaining and such for two weeks now. Hope you're feeling better! And Rusty too.

So , did Cynde's Hubby get a new job( one that actually pays?) Sure hope so.

And I hear she's going to Bonaire....Luckyduck!! Bet she gets to stay at the Hilton.....The Richter Hilton maybe . Since she was our babysitter while Jake was away. She leaves on my birthday.

Gee, as I read your post on your weather, Sherry, I think I'm very glad that I'm living here in the "cold, frozen northland of Alaska!"

Yesterday, we set a new record for the day of 70F/21C. It was also the earliest in the year that 70 has been reached.

Today, its supposed to reach 75F/24C. Warm, warm, warm. Almost too warm for Juneau. 70 is nice; 75 is borderline. Anything more than 75 is getting hot.

But this is gorgeous weather!

On the Eagle Cam, it looks like they only get one chick to nurture. Here's an excellent capture from this morning.

Eagle

Even half spread out, the wings are pretty impressive.
