We will be there the evening of June 7th and are leaving June 18. Staying at the Plaza. I can not wait or stand it. Long, long time coming.

Funny story about the airline tickets. I used Dee at Caradonna Travel, the best she could do was $550 for the airline tickets. I had seen the same flight for $460 the previous day, so I hopped on line and the fare was still there. I called AA and got the tickets for the $460 price, interesting a commoner can get the tickets cheaper than a travel agent.

I'm still have not booked a rental car, suggestions welcome. Dee had a twin cab truck from Budget for $317, I did not know much about Budget on Bonaire. I'm not looking for the cheapest, I want the least hassle.

Cecil..try Nettys..she usually has a minivan which is perfect for diving at around 200 per week..see what she has...I also agree that going direct to the airline has it's advantages if you have the time to " look around" on the web for prices..but then that is what you pay the agent for, their time and expertise...have a wonderful time in Bonaire..we are looking forward to our 11th time back..LBR is Lighthouse Beach Resort down on the southern part of the island near HHH Happy Holiday Homes..

Cecil, polish up that digital camera....you will go nuts on your first trip! I'm finally getting to the point where I don't have to photograph everything that moves, breathes or exists on Bonaire...that only happens after several trips, however. You and Sue will have such a great time. We will be passing you at the airport on June 7, however...we depart and you arrive. You will never be the same again! Carole

I strongly suggest a couple of feet of chain and a stout combo lock for your spare tire, esp if you do night shore diving off the roads, especially in the north.

I'm probably going to avoid the whole problem and have the rental company keep the spare and jack. If you have a tire inflator adaptor for a LP attachment, you can always inflate a tire. Bring a can of tire stop leak and fix the tire when you get back to the room. Cactus spines are a guarantee on Bonaire.

Classic example of why it's important to have a plan, it's not important to follow it (except while diving).

cecil, we used budjet and it was very easy, convenient, and no hassle..got a truck with ac...was perfect ok, seb, i'm checking ebay now, and then to check flights one more time maybe i will win the lottery this weekend and all our worries will be over

we have tickets to the producers in may (with martin short and jason alexander), i went on ebay last night to see if we could make some bucks on them and sell them for a hefty price, but none were listed...if we could make a nice nest on em' they're sold!

OK, just checked travelocity, and found a flight on AA from LAX to BON for just $492.00 round trip...now, if michael finds work, and i can convince him that the red eye is the only option, it may work!
