It's...

Tumbleweed Day

Prairie tumbelweeds are really Russian thistle - hitchhiking its way to the U.S. during the 1800s inside bags of imported Russian grain. Farmers happily planted it. They thought it would make good livestock feed, but... wrong. Besides blowing down the highway, tumbleweeds are only good for creating that "Southwest" look. anything

morning rusty and annie...awefully quite this morning...doing my volunteer stint this morning, i hope it doesn't start raining again, it is the whale festival, and i am sure all the activities yesterday were cancelled, it would be nice to see some of the booths and such this morning...we will see!

dog Cynde Loo Hoo Badoo! You sure keep yourself busy - especially with your honey gone to boot camp. :-) There must be little question marks over the doggies' heads, wondering where Daddy is!

animation Not much on cam this morning - so I've been bopping around the web looking for animations. Care2 has lots of funny cards for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow.

rusty...the poor doggies are depressed, especially geezela...not many "woo woos" from her...they pretty much mope around all day (or at least that is my interpretation of their "usual mope!") last night i said "where's daddy" and they get all excited and run for the door...it was heartbreaking!cam.jpg

Good morning all,

Cynde what's with all the name changes? Had to keep checking the profile to see if you were the same person.
Knee is on the mend. I still haven't entered any Hop-Scotch tournaments yet.

Hiya Rusty and Cynde. It was such a nice warm sunny day here today, it reached 60 degrees at one point. We went for a trip to our local garden centres. anythingIt is so nice to walk round them on a day like today. 1 1/2 miles of beautiful flowers, shrubs trees and lots of other things too. I came home with six new cactus plants.anything Trev nearly dropped one, and instead of letting it drop, he caught it and got loads of spikes in his hands. anything Annie B.

Cynde,

My sympathy on the separation. Like Texas, it's tough on women and dogs. Hope he is just out here to relieve the regulars for the summer silly season, and doesn't have to worry about anything more than an occasional operating under the influence,or locating the dummy that ran out of gas.

How long is he going to be in Cape May Cynde?

I was in India for a while and my wife and I used Instant Messaging to keep in touch, it helped a lot. I don’t know if he would have access to a PC at all, but if he does, it sure can help!

Glad it’s not too much longer Cynde, I know the pets must miss him too. Keeping busy is the best thing. Hope it clears up and you get to go out and play.

Hi Rusty! Yes, it’s hard for me to find time during the week, and when I finally do everyone’s gone to bed L. At least I still try to read through things here and there and try to see what’s going on.

I’m never going to get to 1,000 posts at this rate.

Hi Guys, Haven't posted here for a while. Bob and I have been asked to go with Bob's dad to see the senior consultant at the hospital tomorrow. We are not expecting good news! We are just so glad we have got mum and dad into their new bungalow. If the news is bad at least they will be able to manage better.
On a brighter note, we are going to Amsterdam next weekend with our niece so we do have something to look forward to! Hope the weather is good. Do we have any Dutch friends who can send us a weather forecast later in the week?
LOL Julia

Hi Rusty, Well good news for me, even if not quite so good news for you.

I arrive Monday 21st April - Easter MOnday here in the UK. And then am at conference until the Sunday after. I am then free from Monday 28th all that week and go home, from Bradley on Friday 2nd May.
