raven raven

It's Raven Legend Day

There have been ravens at The Tower of London for over 900 years. Their legend goes like this... Charles II was told that if the Ravens ever left the Tower, the monarchy would fall. He made sure they didn't! Ravens are now kept at the Tower by clipping their wings. They have their own lodgings, are cared for by the Ravenmaster - and they take all the tourists in stride.

Morning Uncle Bod, Morning Rusty. It's a very busy day for me. I am trying to catch up with the house cleaning. Ughhh!! I shall try and pop back later. Have a good day everyone. Annie B.anything

What with all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it
is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person which almost
went unnoticed last week. Larry La Prise, the man who wrote "The Hokey
Pokey" died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family
was getting him into the casket. They put his left leg in... and then the trouble started.

I need more coffee too. It is now 2pm and I am still sleepy and finding it difficult to do anything I should be doing, or to wake up properly.

Oh Sally, I am VERY jealous. I have been on the 'net and checked out Roatan, after seeing pics of it on BT, and the place looks just like heaven!! beachbeach
Unfortunately when we checked out flights from the UK they were extortionately expensive. Flights to Miami are not usually THAT expensive so we don't understand why.
crySo we cried and decided we will have to wait until we win the pools, or the lottery. lodsamoney

Jenni:

You're at the beginning of "Spring Break" season here...it's expensive to travel anywhere until the beginning of May...unless you book WAAAAAAAAAAAY in advance.

Nice touch, Cecil. Love it. smile

Sally, we were looking at summer dates - I think!!! Is there a time when it is not expensive then???

Jenni:

Should be cheaper then...that's weird! Non tourist season is usually between May 1 and November 1.

Good Luck!

Cecil - you got that right about dive sluts. I'll let 'em know you said that.

Morning every one. Just a old Cozumel beach bum surfing around this day.
Have always toyed with the thought of visiting the ABC's.
Midwest USA is in dire straits however;we survivors of global malfeasance, endure by thinking of blue water beauty and fajitas mit Corona staked out on the beach in Cozumel or Playa del Carmen, with hot sun in my face and a gentle breeze running over me.
Keep the beach free and the water pure, I will be there in the future, just biding my time.
It is 16 degrees F. in Southern Wisconsin right now.
Peace Out, jfurman

Oh yeah!
My Brother in Law and Sister are enroute to Aruba.
My wife is going to Orlando in a few weeks, my daughter to Arizona, I am stuck here.
Save me Vinyasa Yoga and the Movie Store.
Meanwhile, my solo maroon tank sits ever so quietly in my bedroom, nary a peep, my mask is in the cellar with fins, knife and the rest of my gear.
The Earth is warming, I graduated from College last May, so, I have time to blow bubbles after three long years.
I will return to 80 feet down, throwing my weight to the current with camera in hand,,,oh what fun.
Later.

blue Hey, hey, Mr. Furman. Your buzzwords got me buzzing - got to go get into the deep blue - sometime soon.

tea Sounds like most of us had a mellow Monday. I went back to bed to read and fell asleep til noon. This cold weather is stronger than a cup of Sleepytime tea.
