Good Morning Jenni and Rusty!
I finally got this photo editor to work, my favourite underwater photo from our trip (it's my new profile pic too) (we only used a disposible underwater camera). Now I am trying to cut out my image and paste it on a Bonaire pic. Then add a tank.

Kev has only just got up too. He had 11 hours sleep. Has lost half today though.....

Eileen, great snorkelling pic. I can not 'dive' down while snorkelling - yet! sweimdownSo I am impressed by your pic. You went to Cuba, right? Kev and I are considering Cuba, or maybe Key Large for our summer holiday. Not sure yet.

One more parting shot1
Jenni, yes we went to Cuba, if you would like to dive Cuba, Cayo Largo is supposed to be wonderful and my dad really enjoys Holguin (my parents go every year).
Time for some housework and to get ready to visit my sister! Have a wonderful day Rusty and Jenni and to everyone signing on! :-)

Early Sunday morning shovel till you drop! Rained all day yesterday then snowed all last night. Trouble is it also blew like a hurricane. Snow was "wind packed" and heavy.

I think it was only about five inches but it drifted quite well!

Major setback on the road to spring. Eileen is probably marching around yelling "Cuba si!"

Think I'll go meditate in a different world.

Have a great day,

Bill

rain It stayed rain here, Mr. Bill. We have buckets on the breezeway in a few places for the drips and srops that worked their way thru. Had a couple gallons in each. Waah - time for a new roof?

meditate Are you oooommmmmmming yourself into a dugout?

Rusty,

Hate the "roof" thing. Had that done in the spring after 100+KM/H winds left a lot of holes.

No dugout - I go to happy places - like Bon!!

Daughter Alison got back safely from week in Cancun yesterday - parents don't worry HA! She had a great time. Apparently the real spring break crowd started to arrive when they left yesterday. She said she was glad they were leaving!! Wall-to-wall loud drunks.

Now where is that little furry groundhog?

Cheers,

Bill

It's...

Little Lulu Day

Little Lulu was created by Marjorie Henderson Buell. It started as a single-panel cartoon in the Saturday Evening Post February 23, 1935. Little Lulu continued to be featured weekly through 1945. That same year, Western Publishing Company turned her into a character that starred in comic books, coloring and activity books, records, games, puzzles, dolls and sewing cards anything

Hello all!
It's a very snowy day in King City! 13 inches so far and it's still going! Fortunately we escaped any rain and had only a couple of hours of ice rain. The rest came as snow. See how it compares to the pics from Bonaire!!!

Rusty,

Regarding the birthday of Dolly.

A few days ago I read an article about Dolly, the cloned sheep.
She died short time ago, on a relatively young age, on a disease, normally occurring at older animals. (I don't remember the details). This opened up again the discussion about cloning, because, due to the use of older cells people think that cloned animals (and also humans) will be less healthy.

happyhour I miss hanging with the crowd at Happy Hour but with BoxerBob's three second *commute* home at 5:00 pm these days - we eat earlier. Some different from the old 6:30 - 7:00 pm dinnertime when he drove from Hartford every day.

gmta Harrie And here I was hoping that I could clone myself before I shuffled off this mortal coil.

jail Jill Whew! Some snow - weird that you got it AFTER us? Did it some back around on its last breath and dump the lefotvers on Ontario? BTW, do you live next door to the county jail?

Hi Rusty, this storm came up from New Orleans, via Ohio, and when it had finished with us, attacked Quebec and the maritimes....boy, it had some moisture in it! Still, it all looks very pretty today.Still cold though, minus 15C..can someone send me some warmer weather up please??
No, not the jail...it's the fence we are required to have around a pool up here, for safety reasons. Though now you've mentioned it, it could be useful for putting people INSIDE and out of the way!!!

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Rusty Clark (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #9286) on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 9:47 am:     Edit PostPrint Post

Jill - actually I was looking at the brick building with the bars on the window - the kids room? LOL

What do you get up there for pool weather?

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Jill Ganderton (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #105) on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 11:10 am:     Edit PostPrint Post

Rusty, LOL, I had to go back and look....I think it's the shutters you're seeing! But bars on the kids rooms - yes, there's a thought, could come in handy as they are 14 and 12 now. Haven't hit the "terrible teens" yet, but probably coming at me soon!
We usually open the pool early May and heat it up so we can use it mid May onwards...sometimes a bit chilly getting in and out, but allright once you're in! Last year we closed mid October, same scenario then too. But we hope that from about mid June (maybe early June if we're lucky) through early September is nice pool weather. I can hardly wait!!!
Cheers,
Jill
