Good Morning Rusty and Freddie! Cold and windy here too; I think most of us have lost our sense of humour with winter!
Still, I shouldn't complain...I heard this morning that St John's, Newfoundland has just received its 409th centimetre of snow this season, and currently have winds blowing at hurricane force. I can't (and don't want to) imagine!!
Have a good day all,
Jill

Hey Rusty,
With all that money maybe you can pay me a visit and help me with a Family Reunion Project. I could really use a graphic layout specialist.

graphic After taking some time off recently, Uncle Bob, I'm more like a graphic *layabout* specialist. I keep telling them that *I'll be back* in the springtime.

globe Hi Jill, Hi Freddie! Maybe I'll just take a trip around the world and visit everyone at home. That would make for an interesting video!

snow It's snowing here - steadily - and the sun is shining! February is the weirdest month.

Yes, Bobby, we've been aching! It's been so cold this year...yesterday was minus 30C when I woke up, and still there doesn't seem to be any relief in sight! Thank goodness we're heading South exactly three weeks from today - not that I'm counting of course!!!
Have a good day!

possum From Dadz:

About 6 pm Monday I was cooking up a batch of chili with the exhaust fan on. I walked out the back door for something and there on the back steps was a big fat possum. He must have been hungry and the smell attracted him. I put a small amount of the chili out in a cat bowl in the patio. A short while later I looked out the window and he was eating it. He finished most of it. I don't know if he liked the beans or meat better. He did like the broth because I could see that was all gone. It had a touch of medium salsa in it too. Maybe that helped warm him up on a cold, snowy night.

I brightened this guy up a little:

Looking back to the message that Rusty's Dadz sent, I have a great Bonaire memory. Bob cooked spaghetti suace one night and we put the remains out for the cats that live around Lions Dive. The large white cat we call Mama got there first in the morning and started eating. I left her to it until I noticed she was doing something very odd with her mouth. When I looked closer she was sticking her tongue out and drawing it through her teeth! She was spitting out the garlic! It didn't put her off the rest and she was so full that she hardly moved for the rest of the day. Wonder if she had a hot date and just didn't want garlic bread.

cat Julia - that's so funny. They DO know what they like. Our iguanas eat mostly frozen (thawed) mixed vegetables during the winter and will pick thru and eat every pea, bean and carrot and leave all the little kernels of corn.

It is REALLY blowing hard outside now - the birds are getting blown back up into the trees when they fly down to eat on the ground.

Julia watch the candle, we've had close to a dozen house/business fires around here in the last few weeks caused by candles. rescue
One just across the street in an office was caused when the wax got low in a "crystal" vase candle on the restroom toilet. The vase looked like glass but was actually plastic. The plastic melted, caught fire and started a fairly decent blaze.
