Sailor
Morning all, don't get up yet, UB will wake you.
soldier
It is snowing and sleeting out which makes for a great day to be leaving the Republic.
Have a good one - and play nice. I am waiting for my ride to the plane
I feel like dancing dancers
See ya, now go back to sleep.

Have a great trip Tom! Congrats Igor on your posts! 1

I woke up this morning to rain, it's great that it is melting the snow away, but we do not have grass yet in our subdivision. So everything will be one big mud puddle!

Here are roses for you Annie B. and Emma!flowers

beautiful Bonaire Bye-bye, Tom!

It's Spoiled Cats Day

cat

Yes, the most popular pets world wide are dogs! But, don't tell the cats!. People who own these little balls of fur know how independent and royal they really are. Of course, they were the favorite pets of the pharaohs. I think they remember this!

goodmorning

Take care Annie and Emma. I am on my way to the hospital to pick up my mum-in-law. Dad-in-law was rushed into hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning. He is not in any danger but has a bad stomach virus which is quite serious when you are 85 and in poor health! I thought I would have a bit of time for myself after I sold their house for them but no such luck! I am feeling a bit of a martyr at the moment but it will pass.
There was a bad blizzard here this morning but the snow did not stay. keep safe everyone.
Julia

that cat is not old enough to be truly spoiled...

(it takes a lot of work to truly spoil one) :-)

anyway, i found a tool that i can unleash on my picture folder (bonaire pics) and the tool will generate web pages with thumbnails and navigation buttons - will make showing the pictures a little more user friendly than the directory listing that is currently my page...takes a little time to run (by the way it's ulead photoexplorer 6.0)...can't wait to get home and fix that dumb page...

whatever,

hope everyone is having as much fun :-)

What a morning. We've been watching cars spin down the ice covered hill in front of the office. Looks clear so they are doing 45 or so in a 30 zone hit the ice and away we go. Finally after a fairly serious accident where we had to call the rescue did they FINALLY send a sand truck.
Current score:
13 180's
7 360's
9 540's or better
1 1170 3 1/2 spins (slid backwards between two trees and a large rock and didn't hitanything.
11 curb bounces no spins
5 damaged cars
1 damage light pole
1 minor injury (broke arm)
Are we sick or what?

Hello Everyone hello

Had a difficult trip back from Birmingham, with snow falling, and sometimes settling, on the motorway last night. Got in very late.

And then just as I was going to bed, the snow really came down, and really settled. Snoweed all nightsnowfall and looked wonderful this morning, but of course was a anightmare getting to work in the traffic. Lots of roads hadn;t been gritted, and the small roads were very icy and slippy. So no cut-throughs! Everyone on the main roads, and getting nowhere. traffic

Just got back from work and cleared my path and the front of the house, so I can walk fairly clearly from the car to the house.

Birmingham, eh, Jenni! My hubby and I worked and lived there before we moved to Canada. I remember what chaos a snow fall caused in the UK, glad you arrived home safely.
We've had interesting weather here this past 24 hours...ice rain last night,( I hate that!) rain this morning, and now snow and high winds with the temperature dropping rapidly, so it's all freezing up. It's going to be a messy drive home for everyone.
Keep dreaming of Bonaire......!
Jill

Oh no!!! cryI've got a problem. Anyone out there able to help me? angel

I am running a workshop this weekend and the handout worksheet is on my [1 yr old] computer, but saved as WPD files [Word Perfect documents] and my Word [XP] is saying it can;t convert them. I have tried downloading a something or other [wp6rtf.exe]to convert them, but it didn;t work [ie didn;t convert them]

help

I've tried everything I can think of, which admittedly isn't much. I may be able to email the whole file [zipped] straight from Windows Explorer. Don;t know for sure though.

Thanks Jenni, thankfully I'm at home! I was out earlier and the main roads were fine; the side roads were a bit slippy but the sanders were out doing a good job as usual. Once my boys arrive home from school (they come on the school bus) we shall light a nice, cheerful fire and try and ignore the winter weather outside!
You take care too!

From the site, the eagles come back in early Feb. to rebuild the nest. You can see new pine branches in the nest, the female does this. Look for eggs in early March.
