Good question, Rusty. And how do you tell the difference between a Stoplight, a Princess , and a juvinal? I need to get out my fish id book I guess. Can't be a proper web cam fish spotter if you apply the wrong names .o

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Rusty Clark on Monday, January 20, 2003 - 11:13 am:     Edit PostPrint Post

juve

The Princess has stripes, the Stoplight has a light patch at the base of the tail, and the chatters are, for the most part, JUVENILE! LOL

smokey smokey

How dare the coral-killers obstruct our view of Smokey the other day. No respect for the wildlife!

I knew you would be annoyed about that. The last time I went to visit Smokey, I could't even recognize him. He looks very different in person....more rock like.

Hi Honey's I'm home.
Thanks for the hugs Margarite, Meryl and Rusty. They feel great. Radiotherapy went very well, and as you can see, we got home earlier than we expected. Tomorrow is going to be a real bad day. The chemo will take 5 hours, and after that we have to go for the radiotherapy again. We have to be there for 9.00am. YIKES! I might be able to pop in just to say hi to you all sometime in the evening.

Margarite, The email address does not work. It says it is not a valid internet address. Annie B.

hugs Annie! Is it every day for seven weeks?? Are they still saying that? Does Emma have to just lie down and let an IV run for the chemo?

Thanks Carole, It isn't too bad at the moment, it is just the travelling up to London on the train everyday that gets ya down. Annie

Where are you, Annie, in that travelling into London is a pain? Going in by car? or train? car train

I'm glad you can come home with Emma each day. When my mum had radiotherapy she had to stay in for the week, and while she was well enough I could take her out for a few hours shopping or for lunch or sit in the gardens etc. And she went home for weekends too. But her treatment was for 4 weeks only. Plus a 24hours intensive radiotherapy via her vagina in a sealed room. It was dreadful! We could only peep through a window and wave at her. She was SO brave. And as I said, she is now absolutely fine 6 years later.

Big hug for Emma and you hugs

What you gonna knit, Annie? knit

Happy Martin Luther King Day you lot over there. Wish I had a day off. I could catch up on some sleep. sleepy

And yes please can I have a big dollop of the stay young forever - ness stay young
Just send the tablets over. I'll take them as instructed. smile

Hi Jenni. I just had to pop to the docs to get my own pills. Keep forgetting about myself. Brain is like a perforated T bag. anything
We can't go by car as there is nowhere to park, so we go on the tube. It doesn't take that long really, but it is exhausting. Emma has also got to have about 2 sessions of the 24 hour intensive internal treatment. We keep telling her it will be ok, and also relay all of the Bter's messages to her as well. Annie B.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Jenni Hardy on Monday, January 20, 2003 - 2:59 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

Yeh, it will be OK, and glad you tell her that. Give her my love and a big hug
love for Emma big hug

OK - I get why it is exhausting going in by tube. Is she in at 9 every morning? If I know what time her treatment is, I will think of her, and add her to my healing list when I light my morning candle. candle

You're doing great, Annie! It is exhuasting and stressful supporting someone you love through these processes. Give yourself lots of praise, and treats too. lovefor Annie

Annie, big hugs to you and Emma but remember Jennie's advice too. Take some time each day for yourself and do something nice, choccy and a good book or a bubble bath. You need to keep healthy as well.
